How did I miss this one? That guitar is something that would befit a Tina Turner number. The female vocal is so beseeching and soulful, it is ace - I hope you re-feature this sometime, an easy fave
Thank you Kay, I'm happy you liked the guitar parts. You're totally correct the female vocal is very soulful and grasps you to project you into the story expressed by the lyrics.
What a fantastic solo, penetrative. Of course the rest of the song is beautifully made, but I had to listen to that solo more than once.
Well done
My regards, Anthony
Thank you Anthony, that's great that you listened more than once to some of the parts. I'm very grateful for your listening time and your shared thoughts.
hello StratOli, I must say I enjoyed your track and all its guitar interactions....it shows what the instrument is capable of in a subtle and slightly amped attitude when the feeling is needed. Its a very good track my brother.
Coolio. Great tone and lead work. And let's not forget the excellent rhythm guitar too. I liked the build before you really crack into it. Had to listen a couple of times, coulda done more.
Thank you Zootman, I tried to build up something progressively before the tedious guitar soloist in me comes back naturally! Thanks again for the supportive feedback.
Great jam Oli
you could simply play for as long as you can since whatever you do on the guitar is kind of addictive for the listener. To me it has been a great electric blues time (I have listened to your track multiple times), I really enjoyed the listen
My best regards, Anthony
Hi Glenn, thank you.Yes I tried to have different guitar tracks that in a way talk to each other. Sometimes it works, sometimes ... I hear I could do it differently. But well this is why recording one self is important! Hopefully it'll help me to improve some stuffs. Thank you again for your feedback.
I totally agree with what is written Oli. You have done a superb job here, it is pro material in my humble opinion. Great groove this funky, hip hop, rapping mix.
My best regards, Anthony
Definitely v original - first part reminds me of the riff from 'Sledgehammer' by Peter Gabriel and the rap I would liken to Blondie's 'Rapture'. Attention-grabbing and interesting. Kay
Yeah this is cool man. Trippy funk styles. You on the mic? To me maybe, it needs a little more low end on the bass or drums. Just a bit more drive. But what do I know? Still digging it. Nice ending. Cheers Chris.
Thank you Chris, oh no you don't want me to be on the mic! yes probably I should increase the low end parts next time especially for this style. Thanks for the useful tips.
Hello StratOli, just listened to your latest track and loved it....its got a sweet jazzy sound and feel especially with the funky rap and cool sax and guitars along with a nasty bass in the back....this is really cool my friend.
