Yeah vocals are hard. Mixing is hard. Producing is hard.
We shouldn't try to make things perfect, it just needs to be a bit better than last time. We learn and grow.
Having said that, I thought you did a great job, so there :)

You made a good track with it! There's a bit much processing on the acapella (I think most of that was already in the original I saw) but the overall result is just really good. You also mixed it well and fit the vocal nicely into the mix.

Pretty interesting man! Nice work!! Love the vocals man, pretty wide mix and the bass is pretty good! Nice use of vocal melodies and guitars for the bridges with the slide into the beat is pretty freakin amazing man. Best transition of a beat I've heard yet!!
