nice intro bro, always a supporter of anyone who brings their own vocals to us, keep up the hard work, like me, your not the finished article yet, i would like to here you try a little higher tone and pitch, your an FL user try pitcher, you can change the key etc etc its easy enough to use, effector is also ok in FL both plugins will make a big difference, im watching you grow mate, i want the best for you and just passing on things ive been taught from others :)) i think a small delay on the vocal will brighten it too, good job though Randall
Thanks for the input dimestop, I’ve noted everything. I don’t think I’ve ever tried to use pitcher or effector, I will give them a go man, I’ll try anything at this point. Also a small delay, as you mentioned, would help the mix, I wasn’t thinking about it when mixing but that’s a good idea. And also yes, I’m not a finished article yet, I’m almost never satisfied with a song to be honest but this one feels a little different. I must say you’re not a finished article yet either man. you’ve got a whole lot of talent yourself and listening to your tracks along with zootman’s tracks have been a great inspiration, you guys can really create something new and fresh, it’s great to see. Anyways, it’s good to hear from ya, I want the best for you as well.
I dig it bro. Prob said this before but I really like your voice. For a jam and one mic it sounds pretty decent to me. I've done the same thing on a track called to the sea. Doesn't leave many options for mixing etc but it's fun and spontaneity counts in my book. It's good as it is but equally you could develop it and work it up into a more produced thing.
thanks zootman! yeah for a jam session I was happy with this, I just zoned out and everything came together lol. I’m happy with this version for now, maybe in the future I’ll do a re-mix. And also you’re right, you can’t really mix a single mp3 file to much, all I did on this was split the file into a left and right channel at 3% stemming from the main(4.00hz) at 3.94hz(left) and 4.00hz(right). That’s a trick I’ve learned for creating natural vibrato with one file. Anyways, I believe spontaneity counts too! Most of my music is freestyled/punch in songs. Thanks for the comment zootman.
Not bad, decent idea to begin with. Are you planning to add drums, other instruments, maybe a tambo or shaker or some kind of percussion? Look forward to see how this progresses.
Thanks Wayne. Eventually I’ll add some light percussion, maybe some basic drums and a shaker. Thought about making the end a build up like Colter Walls “Kate mcCannon”. Since I recorded my vocals while playing the guitar I now need to record guitar and vocal tracks separately while keeping the integrity of the song the same. It’s all still a learning process for me. Some light percussion should sound cool though.
I think if you edit this track it will definitely be a nice track.
You have a good and clear voice.
There is a bass hum that is quite annoying to be honest.
I'd remove that if I were you.
Hi, I enjoyed this man. Liked the lyric, vocal performance was good, compelling, felt like a few places where you really got a flow going. The backing vox in the chorus with the on and ons worked well. Nice one bro.
man, thanks a lot zootman! I still get excited when I see you comment. I appreciate it! every time I have an opportunity to record I aim to try something new.
nice work bro, its always nice to here different peoples vocals here on the loop and show support, nice intro guitar i like the slow vocal flow good lyrics keep up the hard graft mate
Nice and melodic mate, far out, this is the first looperman track I've listened to since my expedition to the subantarctic and its nice to be back I must say. I got to listen to your verses on my shelter from the storm track - very cool lyrics, I think you nailed the vibe on that one. So thanks for that my friend.
I'm glad you liked it and I hope you had a good time in the subantarctic, a cool experience I'm sure. I'm glad i could be your first listen back. cheers my friend
I'm a sucker for an accoustic and a voice and this is just a great dark little song. The minimalism and your lyrics give it gravitas and it sounds genuine and from the heart. Well done bro.
Nice guitar tone and your voice sounds rich. I kept expecting a crash of guitars but no it left me in suspense. Melody definitely reminiscent of nirvana but still really good work. Enjoyed my listen...:)
Another listen to your tracks, and again there's some stuff here that really tickles my fancy. Specially the guitar tracks and your voice sounds great too. And who cares what genre....!
Im a sucker for a lofi or alt country sound - this reminds me a little of the silver jews. I love everything about this sound and your voice too ... maybe given the few comments not everyone is a fan of this still but hey - cant please everyone. : )
waka waka, i like your trippy deconstructed piano hits in intro. Mc 3X is like slowdancing in heaven. this weird danger synth is perfect for halloween.
