I really like this track; it's slow and still has a groove to speak of. I would certainly be found listening to this while reading a good book or taking my mind off the world and just relaxing into it. It's not sedative though, it keeps you alive.
This track is pretty decent for a novice, like dungbeatl said, there's a lot of potential to make this work really good, I'd back to the drawing board, and try to work out some of the kinks, add a little bit more sub-bass to it, and some heavier parts. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one who would want to hear it after you tweak it a bit.
Production is awesome!!
I think this sound would suit a movie.
Love the synths and percussion is finely crafted-something most muso's seem to neglect.
A gr8 piece of music, well structured and thought out.
not bad so far im still learnning dub myslef but i think u should let ur mind be free let the beat talk to u and the mood shape and mold itself into a banging track and you'll have a sick track in no time.
to start, i like the beginning. its kinda ambient with some cool drum sounds, but then you go to the bassline and it kinda ruins the effect. its not often that i need to say this, but it might actually be beneficial if you get a bass thats less in your face. second, i would start the drum roll in the buildup for the drop a bit sooner. and for some reason the volume cuts a bit in the buildup too
Yea the intro was thrown together quite quickly becuase i was specifically focusing on making a heavy bass synth. But i might try throwing in a different intro, because an intro does set the groove/mood/feel of the song, and i know i did a 180 degree switch on the intro. BUt thanks dude for the honest opinion ill definitly take it into considereation :) thanks. peacee
I agree with badman but also mate i reckon 2 add on the end add a lil xtra beat in there 2 mash it up abit if u get me would make it sound heavier n bit faster which would fin it off nice, good track though man like the wobbly basslines
I definitely like the feel to this track. I too am working with that wobble effect in massive. Haven't quite got it yet but workin on it. Over all dig the track, good beat and sounds compliment this one. Great Job!!Keep it up...Gonna check out some more of what you got..Peace....Rob ONe...Blume...
Great Track,
Needs a little Volume leveling around the Saw's/Wobbles and i needs to be longer if ya know what i mean.Otherwise good track and well produced.
You truly do listen and hear music. i didnt think anyone would point that out! and i hear ya it definitly needs to longer, just waitin for an idea to pop in my head to finish it ahaha. Thanks for the review man.
heres some constructive criticism and purely my opinion so dont listen if u dont want to. what you could do to improve your BEAstLY track extend drop a few more bars and make the yaw wobble a little just a lill bit more consistent and then in my eyes you will have a SUPER BANGA matee!! i would love to hear the changes if you do so!!
I love all criticism even if its not constructive, honesty is what improves produces/musicians and you gotta be able to accept so i greatly appreciate the review because i can use it to improve. And i love constructive criticism even more when it is an opinion i was thinking myself, it gives me reassurance on changes i would like to make myself, So much appreciation mate. and i'm definitly going to make some changes :)
I'm just starting to get into "dubstep" I've been listening to a lot of late night XFM recently and I don't think this track would be out of place on one or two of their shows ... cool ... cheers ... faceless ...
nice job on it dude, we shud get together n i will lay a drum track behind it........vocal wobble part was sickkk...just give my cell a jingle, i m working on a new one called in the mind of the devil, peeeeeep it
Sounds tight but i agree with the other 2 reviews def longer would be sweet its a shame to stop so soon after that massive 2nd drop. Maybe some extra fx as well...? Hope that helps look forward to hearin the finished version
Thanks for the honesty, I was thinkin the same thing about the length and how it ends, i also thought it was missing something, so i will throw some effects behind the synth's and bass and maybe add sum effects to the synths and bass. Thanks again mate.
yo buddy....i cant get logged into my old acc. so my new one is just Dbz.....peep the new track i put up....its not finished....gotta add a lot more....but bomb vocals lol
yo safe man.... i like to listen to the tracks as i review them nice start very earie , nice base at the start and then it finished , youl agree it needs to be longer, and take me off on one dark mission into darkness, but its a nice track i will give a longer more in depth review after i hear a more longer more i depth version cool tho.
i like the bell like ambience, and the sound that enters at the very end works well too. the switching between wobbles is a bit choppy (of which i'm pretty sure your aware), but make the bass swapping more fluid, and Eq obviously. instead of of the automation, just an intermitent big, long bass drum would do perfectly. This is going to turn out a great song
Thanks for your opinion and tips because i was stumped on what to do with it to give it more variety and flavor but i will definitly try that because some of the wobbles arent in the right note place. Ill let you know when i fix it up,
Thanks bro
Real chill. Bass kinda rises a bit in some spots but didn't bother me. Wobbles sounded good, not to fast and paced right at good times. Could add some reverb on the drums a bit. Maybe automate it to give a big boom every now and then. Just a thought. Cheers :)
hey what up? dropped by to say this is a dope trac, i like this type of music. i kinda reminds me of El-Ps early stuff on fantastic damage. verry classic. great job...keep it comming. respect. ROME.
I love the "boom bap" as I call it of this track, and also the futuristic sounds are tight as well.
I would have to agree with the gentleman above...a really rythmic deep bass would be the cherry on top.
