im on anotha level right now nam talkin bout and this can work in my land - matter fact.... let me see wat it do, i need another chance to - enhance through - and create a thorogh view -
One thing I noticed was how the spectrum of the sounds seem a bit deep? like.. not in a great way.
Drums are fantastic, right were they should be, definitely.
but the synth pad and the guitar feel almost hollow?
were they in stereo?
I think they would be better placed in mono functions, two tracks, with some panning techniques used?
Hmn... I don't know what it is, but the track doesnt feel "stereo-forward to me"?
That is more of a critique than criticism btw, I really dig the track.
Good stuff!
Definitely add on an ending of some sort.
I don't remember what exactly I did when I mixed down this track the first time, but I do agree that the synth and guitar feel a little hollow. I will definetly continue to work on this track and keep what u said in mind. thanks 4 taking the time 2 review it.
Bass hits have a nice sound, give a nice vibe. I like the hats beat pattern.
It feels kind of draggy at 1:02 or so, felt like it should have already started taking off.
I like the drop a bit further in. It fits the mood. The rising synth that walks in the background could be mixed up on the 4th/8th/16th to do a different pattern.
~2:15 fades out a bit too fast for my liking. Maybe some reverb?
I like the lead at 2:40. Good sound, almost discordant, not sure why it feels that way, but I like it.
3:11 where you cut the lead in and out could use some more attention. Good idea, but the implementation needs some tuning. Reverb? Echo? Delay? When it cuts out, the song feels empty. It needs a sound there or some echoes of sounds or a low buzz put on the track. Instead of drawing me in, it sort of makes me tune out. Probably not the effect you were going for.
Ending is sudden. Not sure if that's on purpose or not.
/typed as I listened. Take what you want and leave the rest.
I agree that the synth loops could be made a little fuller. Unfortunately, I'm a producer, not an engineer. I am taking some classes so that I can learn more about how to manipulate soundwaves and get the best sound out of my material. I do appreciate the honest critique.
