this a good start for a beginner, i think you put reverb on your vocals when the rest of the song is pretty centered, alothough i dont blame you, theres not much you can do with a low quality mic. If you want to expand your ability learn how to use the compressors to your advantage, it can help a lot with low quality mics. what i do is lower the mid band threshhold but up its gain, it bumps up background noise so you cant use it in quiet songs but its an easy beginners trick
I am loving this. Excellent, hypnotic track. Your vocals remind me of Lo Moon (check out their single "Thorns" if you're not familiar with them) and while I agree they could be cleaned up a bit, your delivery is unique and stylized - nothing a good dose of self-confidence won't vastly improve. Keep your voice YOU, but try not to hide behind box effects. You sound great and the song is an excellent one. That's my 2 cents, I look forward to hearing more from you in the future...xo
I do like this one. Nicely constructed though I find the vocals in the first 3 minutes a little muddy and a little heavy on the reverb. Have you tried cutting the frequency in the 250-500HZ range. Don't forget less is more in applying reverb for a clearer mix.
