I started to gravitate to these low sub basses more as of recent simply because I can get away with both super simple one or 2 note basslines, OR super complex slidey ones like demonstrated in this particular instrumental. if you listen to most mainstream trap beats, the hihat often is piercing at times. This is because in contemporary hiphop, vocals are often given a good hunk of the high end of the frequency spectrum. This gives little room for our hihat to punch through, so I mix mine to be very present so when they lay those vocals down, you can still feel the groove of them very strongly. I suggest you do the same for you if you are interested in this style! Thank you.

I do it for 2 main reasons. 1 is that I put a lot of work and effort into my beats, why shouldn't I be paid for my time and mixing? I push out quality, why would i just give that for free? 2 is that I enjoy working with people who are serious. If they are willing to pay for your instrumental, they REALLY liked it and will make sure to do their best because they invested in your talent. So, yes I can charge people for my sounds.
