Awesome, awesome. and awesome. I love Korg for Bass. I used a MS2000 for many years as my go to bass. I have the legacy VST set and love to use the bass. mix that with a Jupiter 8 pad and you are all set with the arrays that it provides. Your work is sublime. Thoroughly enjoyed my listen!
Cru
Hi Cru, thanks for stopping by. I wish I had bought the Legacy set now, but I am still more than happy with the M1 and the Wavestation. I just wish I had more time for music production! Thanks again for stopping by and reviewing, will be sure to do the same in due course.
Cool groove! I like the Barry White reference Mykael mentioned as it feels like rnb to me. Lisa Stansfield also comes to mind when listening. Funky sounding bass line as well that I like. Always love me some percussion so I dig the bongos a lot. Well done all round, mix sounds great!
Hello Paul...long time! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous tune. Listening to it I felt like maybe you were channeling the great Barry White and his Love Unlimited Orchestra! That's totally a good thing. The percussion is off the chain....what a groove!
Hi mate sorry for late reply, yes still writing and producing, although not as much as I would like to. This track was a pleasure to do and came together really quickly as it's not too complicated. Thanks for taking time to listen and review, will be sure to do the same in due course.
Solid beat intro plus some jangly percussion and then a tight, funky bassline. Synth bass, I guess. Nice spaces in that bassline to bring the funk out.
0:35 nice note there plus pads arriving in background. Warm and sensual.
Then warm, melodic big reverb female vocals enter and they're good. Everything sitting really well. No criticisms so far. Big sound, well produced, nice strings etc
I'm in a rush so will probably return to offer more thoughts on the rest.
Hi mate, thanks for stopping by and reviewing. The bass is from the Korg M1s finger bass. The M1 has some amazing sounds and is only around £35-£40 to buy, part of the legacy series. The pads are the dark cellos from the Nexus vst and the keys are from a free vst called EP Station. The vocals are also some freebies from Music Radar. Thanks again. Paul.
Jazz & hip hop.. Ah yeah.. I need more of this in my life.. I usually hang by the river after work, chill, maybe smoke a little something, with a book, downloading for sure. It'll be perfect for that.
Masterful.. Old school.. I imagine a brain on MDMA would melt hearing this XD.. The nineties were a good time for music..
I can't think of a single thing that could improve this, I thoroughly enjoyed that.. Great work, I'll be stopping by your page for more when time permits. Meta :)
Long time no listen but I haven't been around mate, but glad to be checking out this one for you, radio piece this one, very professional sounding, everything sounds absolutely spot on from this end, mate you are in a league of your own in this genre, have a to agree with some of the other reviews, the effects on the vocals work a treat, giving a complete sound through the headset, along with the rest of the piece, excellent track...massive fav mate...Peace n upmost respect here...mosaic...
Dang smallpaul. Youre definitely the best I've heard in this genre on LM. Very old-school sounding but has an awesome groove that anyone could get into! Your use of stereo delay on the male vocal really makes it sound huge. Beautiful work on this. Simple, catchy and powerful. Great work!
Now thats praise indeed! Thanks for taking the time to listen and review, I have just heard your acoustic track and i have to say i was very impressed, your playing is impeccable, and i cant believe your friend got that sound from a gaming headset!! Thanks again! Paul.
You get an amazing amount of sound out of a mix. can only echo the comments of others that it is a thoroughly professional and enjoyable mix and deserves a spot in the clubs I'm sure. Best of luck with taking your work as far as you can!
I don't know much about deep house other than I would probably hear it in a dance club. Overall the mix sounds great, especially some of the effects on the vocals and other cool sounds and effects that added a lot of stereo depth. I gave this a few listens, with and without headphones and both ways I found it well put together and mixed and I enjoyed listening to this. Sounds professional to me as well!
I've recently been listening to a lot of deep house lately and I have to say I wasn't disappointed in this one. This track takes you on an amazing ride, a ride so great, I'm adding this to my favorites.
This is not music I usually listen to, but I gave it a go. The production sounds really pro, and some interesting elements in it. I could imagine this being played in a club, and people enjoying it. Well done!
Nice stuff. The initial synth is very clear and gives a lot colour to the track. The follow up synth and vocals are very smooth and fits well to mix. Very groovy track!
Very nice track! love the oldschool start of the track. When the first synth kick s in it transits to a very chill trance track. Love the use of the drums. They fit perfect in the mix. The break is great and builds up to a grteat finale. the vocals are very well mixed in the track and the piano emphasizes it greatly. Was an enjoy to listen!
Nice work! This reminded me of an artist whose work I heard a while back while fishing for eastern fusion music. It has piano play similar to this but your one has perfect timing unlike his. Compared to his, yours is a good piece, faster and more upbeat too. Feel free to check out the other guy on youtube, his name is Habib and his song is called "Keno Emon Hoy Instrumental". Who knows? Maybe you might get a few new ideas.
Hi mate, thanks for listening and reviewing. I checked out the track and artist as you suggested, I wish I could write tracks like that I would be a happy man indeed! ha ha my piano is the Nexus arena grand, (I am pretty sure anyway) the Nexus has some nice piano sounds. Thanks for comment, will be sure to do the same.
