Hey Dano......you've got the groove going do you need more?..well that's a subjective issue...personally I'd like to hear some random sound FX's introduced...like a far away police siren or an ambulance, things like that which wouldn't detract from the groove just add a little spacial ambience...cool track mate..cheers planet :)

Love the beat.... Sucks that the computer took a crap on you. I have lost a few that way myself. Its amazing that my computer hasnt taken a flight into the front yard yet.

Sounds like a good start. Keep it up.

Im feelin the bell sequence and the horror melody in the back. needs hi hats though and maybe a snare roll since its more on the south/crunk side of music. i make all my beats with FL8 also.
Blurryshutter
Blurryshutter replied Unknown
yeah i have to add all that stuff in as well. this is just the beginning stage. thanks for listening. normally i use reasons but im trying to get thorough with both programs.

Very nice. I'm partial to jazz. Love the percussion in it. I have a friend who's a percussionist and love it when we get a chance to play together. There's something to be said to conga's instead of drums. Great track.

Thanks for the love and i'm trying to get away from the everyday sound of drums you know. I would like for my music to have an original sound to it. I got some CRAZY ideas for percussion but can't afford the type of recording equipment i will need. thanks for listening.

Intro seems a little long till the synth comes in.I only say that because so many people are impatiant and when they listen to something new if it doesn't grab them in the first 10 sec. or so they stop listening. But when it does this is real smooth and nice. nice little melody. I enjoyed listening to it. And By the way. Thank you for serving our country. And is that Hinesville Ga. Right outside of Ft. Stewart? That was the last post I was at during the 9 years I was in.

Oh shiznit. The whole crash thing. I almost lost 100000+ samples but had a backup drive to save my behind. I like where this is going. Some dark bass or static sounds could work. I feel like there should be lyrics over this. I look forward to hearing what was lost.

Hey thanks for listening. I plan on remaking this one when I do I might just ask you to add these sounds you speak of.

I started out with Cakewalk 2003 and messed with that and only samples for 2 years. I then moved on to FL, and that was confusing as hell, until one day I just said 'screw it' and decided to not actually try to make a perfect or good beat. I decided it would be okay to mess up and get 'lost' in the program and that was how I learned A LOT. What I'm saying is, allow yourself time to make mistakes and learn from them as you move forward. I made 100's of lousy 'throw-away' beats, and STILL do! I have Reason 4.0 now, and you'll find that once you become proficient in, or on, one platform, the basics are always present in the other platforms. Keep at it and soon enough you'll switch easily between software programs. PEACE.

Blurryshutter replied Unknown
You know what? I never looked at it like that. I've had so many beats before that i think were pretty good and i never got through with them bcause of that reason. I was trying to make them perfect so i would stop and move on to another one. I had about 40 beats no one ever heard bcause my pc crashed and i never finished them. I'm doing the same thing right now I got about 20 that i started and none are nearly completed. On top of that im not learning anything new about the program. that makes a lot of since.... I appreciate that.

that's called midi. when you take the piano and plug in... to the .. computer.

did you use Fruity loops? or.. Ableton?
The drum beat is a loop then? meh...
Damnit you use Reason!
I like ableton wayy more than fruity loops.
I am gonna go buy this Reason thing lol..
either way... I want to hear more from you.

I really like your style man..

Nice spacing and pace. damn..

Mastering is taking the frequencies of all included and preparing it for the ear man! All sound does is vibrate the air, and vibrate your ear. Mastering is kind of like.. science and music...

regardless.. This is great..

I just think I could make it sound real, by widening the frequencies with programs..

Check out the forums bro.

No I used reasons4.0 I never heard of Ableton. You mean a midi controller keyboard? Looks like keyboard piano thing? As much as I would love to have one of those nope i did it all with the click of the mouse. I used two loops making the track. The dusty rhodes, and congo drum loop. the rest is all me. Thank you for listening.

I am digging it as I write this.

Feels subdued a bit. I will happily remaster if you like.

wow.. this is cool. Nice space. I love space.

I like loud snares, even piccolos, and this one is obviously a midi beat. But good.

I really like how you used the mixing of all tracks to fit the piece. I know it might sound crazy to you, but I don't sometimes.

I will remaster if you like? ( I remaster everything )

BTW, DUDE, if you get more involved, talking to other people and whatnot, you will get more plays, and you hear some new music.

Check out Cyryus08

Thank you. I really don't know what mastering is. I'm not baled to understand stuff about the music. I just try to make it. Like the term you used by saying this is a "midi beat". I have no idea what that means. I was just listening to a song by this guy on myspace. He Is an older gentleman and his song triggered me to make this. I honestly am shocked by the good reviews I received so far about it so thank you.

1 thing tho you should replace the synth with the strings, brings the strings up and lower the synth,, but thats just what i would do nice vibe tho, and love the rhythm of the snare, and the punch of the drums, lovley!!!!

Blurryshutter replied Unknown
Well I hardly did anything here. my homeboy did most of it. The dude and his brother got crazy talent for music, but he likes to keep it quiet. All I did was the loop and bass drum. When I did the loop I had a completely different plan for it, but he got on it and did his thing. I plan on using that loop again. I just got FL8 demo today so I'll get it back of that one. Thanks for listening.

on Kalimos first beat by Blurryshutter
cool track, it has potential, just liven it up a bit, the pace of the beat and the tempo of the trumpet on the break down would make it hard to flow on, just my opinion, maybe we can share pointers, holla at me
Blurryshutter
Blurryshutter replied Unknown
I tend to open up my machine window and start making beats without even touching the tempo. Beginners mistake I guess. At the same time I wanted it at that pace but the horn didn't turn out like I wanted it to.Although this was my first time trying to make something with a horn in it. I love the sound just don't know how to play the Instruments. thanks for listening tho.

I like things that are sparse and leave room for a listener to imagine their own elements at play. I like the laid back groove, I am sure that once you are able to add some melodic elements that this piece will have the fullness that it deserves. Sounds pretty good to me, nice job. Peace, Six
Blurryshutter
Blurryshutter replied Unknown
i appreciate that six. i just hope i can keep my motivation to make the music. i get frustrated easily with the program and give up bcause it's complicated.
