I don't know much (if anything) about cyberpunk, so its a bit tricky for me to comment on. That said, your work is clean and well-crafted. Sure, it's a loop, but it's very nicely done, especially the rhythmic part. It is missing vocals, which I think would tie it all together. Well done, I'd just like it to be a bit longer.
Best regards, Anthony
You're asking if you should use a falsetto or a soft voice. I'm not the best person in this community to advise you; I'm not a musician, just an enthusiast for the last few months. But I think that with the atmosphere your music creates, a soft but full voice would be better. I can't imagine falsetto working. But you know... it's a matter of taste. What I do agree with is what others have said: expand the song a bit, work on it.
Ay Juan! Every musician starts out as an enthusiast haha...my brother and I are working on the vocals now, haven't hit falsetto yet, but we'll see what we can do. I really want to explore a /afrodystopia /afrotech kind vibe, the main challenge now is trying to make sure it's very obviously african but letting it still be very palatable. :fingers_crossed: we figure out the formula!
Cyberpunk eh? Neuromancer is pretty my favorite book of all time and started the genre basically. Nice percs and I like the synth pallette. Stirling track, enjoyed my listen very much.
ooh I have to read that, it's amazing to me the guy that made the tabletop and stuff is still alive too, crazy ting. Godbless man! And yeah the synth, finally got serum 2 working and I love the sounds on that thing crazy
I like to game, but I've yet to play Cyberpunk, heard good things about it. I really like the tune, it's quite Cinematic. Good beat and rhythm, wished it was a bit longer as it was going places. Great track though.
Thank you Dan!! Yeah definitely flirting with making it longer...thinking maybe changing the drums to something like Fuji, you know, talking drums. idk how i'll do it, we'll see.
I'm not a gamer, still like it a lot. My first thought was; would be a great bedding for a vocal. Well done.
Would be great to add a minute or even a bit more :) Possible improvement for the end; maybe extend and fade out that synth, now it drops out suddenly leaving an unexpected void in the sound, but that is a taste thing.
I generally like leaving things suddenly, i feel it makes the loop sweeter. I wouldn't mind extending either, but I suppose the song has to build up or go somewhere else and i'm unsure where to take it right now. Yeah my brother and I are working on the vocals now, I like the way it feels, hopefully we do it justice :fingers_crossed:
And thanks for listening, and the very kind comment :)
Love it! This really creates an awesome mood and atmosphere. I haven't played cyberpunk yet, but it still brings to mind things like Shadowrun or Bladerunner. I could see this as the epic chase music as an android hacker flees across rooftops in a neon dystopian cityscape. Great job!
The only thing I'd say for critique is the very last few seconds seem a bit jarring. I would consider ending it at 1:34 instead. But either way, it's a great song and I'm so glad you shared it!
Aha yeah! In cyberpunk they call hackers netrunners, some slick neon lighted, leather clad netrunner zipping across buildings while the corpos try to hunt them down ahhhh! I love the visual!
Yeah, will def consider letting it ride out a bit. Tysm for your comment man!
Even though I'm 61, I've also spent a few hours playing Cyberpunk. The story, the graphics, and those futuristic cities with a society in decline really caught my attention.
This sounds very cinematic; it creates an atmosphere that would fit perfectly in the game. Good work.
It's really high praise that it fits! I'm having an issue now where I'm not sure what to do for the vocals, like I figure it will be falsetto, I figure some floating over this beat would be sick. I think maybe going light on vocals might be the choice. Idk, when it comes to vocals, what do you hear?
Really nice melodious tones in the vocal and it is a smooth, professional track - not a fan of those type of lyrics but that is just a matter of personal preference and each to their own
This is a vibe, very chill and for some reason, it reminds me of Caribbean vibes! The vocal goes really well with the music, works together in a harmony.
Yeah bro i got IG/FB and Soundcloud but im not really active on it, for a couple of years now, you can send me direct messages through this platform as well if u want to get in touch for a collab or something or PM me your email.
I found this track on the RnB genre tracks page sorted from new to old, yours was uploaded pretty recently..
By the way I was listening to as many tracks from the first and second results page because after i had uploaded my own RnB track i was curious as to what kind of RnB tracks other people make nowadays - read: checkin out my competition lol..
And yeah Sade is what your voice reminds me of haha.. weird? Unexpected? Surprised? I mean it in a good way!
Such a mature song, this is something more than the average Looperman track.. this is a proper record. I like the way the vocals match the instruments and sits in with the rest of the song's atmosphere nicely. There is something else in your voice.. i don't know exactly what it is, oh I remember now, you remind me of Sade! - great work.. love this.
