Wow the vocals sound really good here, for some reason it really cuts through the other elements really well in my opinion. Did you sidechain the kick to the 808? Kick could be a bit more punchy? maybe. Overall great job.

Thanks! I have a frequency side chain on the main melody buss track to have only the frequency of the vocals duck out the melody. I don't have it ducking the whole melody because it sounds to choppy to me. I have a custom patcher preset/vst on fl that cuts out only the frequencies you want so it's not ducking the whole thing. Which I also applied to the bass so only the frequency of the kick ducks out the bass, so it's not ducking out like a house track. Just little tricks I learned here and there during my time. I'm no expert in this genre but this is put together pretty good. The vocals sound great, recorded and mixed well. I am always a fan of trying to let the song breath a little more with the compression on the master track. It's pushed here but there is good space, instrumentally, in the song so things aren't competing as much as I would have expected if musically it was busy and cluttered. Looking at the waveform I thought it would have been much more in my face but it sounds loud and punchy and pretty clear.

There is always something to adjust. The hard fact of doing this. lol
