on Bassy B by yappy
Yup is a bassy b! Like your work with those loops, putting some good sounds together with some real imagination. Definitely good job with the mixed sections. To me sounded like some new stuff from the past called "Dustro" I think it's a fusion of industrial and electro. Had a similar type of quality and sound which is cool to hear in a current time. Thanks. Keep going!

Thnx a lot for taking the time to listen and commenting as well. I've searched for DUSTRO since I don't know it but came up with DISTRO who I've also never heard of. My track is indeed sounding similar to him/her/them.

Thnx again!

on Japanese Sumo by yappy
I like all the space you left in this track yet there are many instruments and changes. Mix sounded pretty good in my headphones, the hand clap seemed a bit loud in the middle. There were spaces where the song lost that Japanese influence and I liked the parts that had the Asian instruments in them. I guess with an eight minute song you can do that, wander a bit. I liked it, well done, very creative!

Thnx a lot for taking the time to listen and the feedback of course, this means a lot to me.
Funny you mention the space in the track. I did this on purpose. I'll tell you why.
Just imagine a huuge sumo wrestler waking up and preparing himself for his match. When the claps starting he's warming up and when the ''dance-part'' comes in, the match has started and finishes when the slower part starts again. Btw, he won the match..lol. At the end he's tired and falss asleep again. The life of a sumo wrestler here in Japan.
Thnx again for the feedback!

on Memory lane by yappy
Good piece of the mix, like how you used the loops. That guitar gives a steady pace chill and ez to follow which is always nice. I like the drums you're using sets the mood. Interesting use of those perc hits in the background and the layering works. Cool what you have done so far with this section. Thought I should mention while listening I had to put treb and bass levels at 0 and lower the volume control due to the bass pushing heavy on my speakers, possibly could be my system acting up. Keep going, thanks for the share.

Hello,
Thnx for taking time to listen and the feedback of course. This is important because we are all still learning. You are correct about the bass. I have the same. Though, this is still a rough mix and a lot of work needs to be done to get the right balance.
The titel is Memory lane and speaks for itself I think. The drums are a bit ''stamping'' if you know what I mean because looking back to positive/negative memories it's always important to ''move on''. I think those drums are perfect to express that.

Thnx again for the feedback!
