on I Run Feat Isha by MichaelMayo
First off, I didn't set out to do a Latin arrangement, as I played with the different guitar sounds I just settled on this and being in the key of Emin [or GMaj if you prefer] I spent a bunch of time in Brazil on tour so Emin is like one of my favorite keys to shedding on some Brazillian licks & rhythms

it just tumbled out and then I realized that the phrasing, the lyrics, & the melody just kept moving me in that direction. I hope you like it, it is not finished, I have a lot more to do but I also wanted to do an R&B arrangement as I had first intended.

Been here two years, this is probably the most Pro-Level shit ever to come out of this site, & that includes you previous stuff Mr. Mayo, you guys really hit it out of the ballpark, it was/IS a pleasure to work on it, so glad I came across it before anyone else, I blame insomnia...

if you would like the instrumental of this or any song of mine, to practice or record with, let me know, the best way to reach me is on my Soundcloud

I had to do a lot of tiny pitch correction hope it sounds good, not many people like guitars bass & drums anymore... I do, played everything

116BPM - A Major or F# minor - someone said the "autotune" is real? wtf does that even mean as opposed to what?

This cat is aloof as fuck, never says shit to anyone, doesn't even say if he likes anything & never replies to anyone who has a question, at least publicly as far as I can tell... but I'm just tryin' to learn how to produce some new genres, not looking for accolades, which you def won't find at Looperman in general, it's kind of is a soul-sucking place actually...

meh

on Edge of paradise with harmony by ijaw
I wonder how great it would be if you posted full songs, I like the contrast of harmony vs no harmony, I used both tracks but I didn't try to repeat anything or make it longer, it is what it is due to length.

I hope you decide to do full compositions, pay close attention to background noise including hum, etc. Keep harmonies separate, but YES do them, great work.

Ignore fools and guys named Larry, just sayin'

ya gotta gift but it needs nurturing, practice & confidence, not to mention maybe asking for or buying some basic audio gear to help accomplish this, doesn't cost much, you're halfway there

on Erase Me by bigkk767
You need some pointers on audio setup, but fuck any of that if you can't hold a tune or write something original, you have a gift, you should develop it and seek to become better at this rather than chase a nebulous goal

full songs, dry/wet [with & without effects].

recorded fully with as little hum/background noise as possible.

fewer short test thingies, more full-blown compositions.

get something that will maintain your vocal staying in key while you record. I had to use Waves-Tune to fix it, you can't even tell [and just say "NO" to autotune]. but you really got something here, don't fuck it up.

cheers

on Step By Step by ThaSuspect
I Kind of agree with "LAmuzic" even tho I wouldn't say it that way, it takes hubris to think so highly of your own work as to put a blatant audio watermark on it to actually prevent those who would like to play with it, non-commercially of course, on a website that already covers your creativity.

If you have any to begin with. You do, so I gotta ask why? Totally unnecessary to make it even harder for others... good luck on Loopmasters, if you can get a contract to sell a vocal library, they will audio watermark the shit out of any demos if you like, but here? it's just counterproductive...

Thank you for your kind words.
sorry if it inconveniences you but I found out many years back that folks. have been making off these without proper permission & reimbursements.

yes, it is G-Major, not minor, or, if you like, E minor
