I went ahead and downloaded your accapella, and I'm producing a hands-up dance track using it. I was going to ask permission beforehand but just got too excited. So yeah, is it ok if I use your accapella? Email at harpo72@sbcglobal.net, ill be able to email you the mp3 when its done.
I just got done reading a sci-fi book and your acapella made me think of the warriors that battled. Nearly like a bard-ish type rendition of the fallen comrades. WOOSH! Swords, maces, morning stars smashing against shields of wood and steel. Bravo on the fact that I didn't have to make exceptions because your tune was true and right. It didn't have any fluctuations in its intention.
Thank you for not doing it soo soon...
I thought you were playing it safe...
leaving the obtrusive drum beat protects your voice from being used by lets say "JACKOFFER" the new and hottest dj ever lol
and NOT GIVING YOU CREDIT..
(Set your ID3 settings bro.)
I am going to use this.
You will not like it.
But thank you for sharing.
I will e-mail you when it's done.
BTW!
VERY cool accapella...
I could see this in soo many different types of "styles"...
I think I am Irish, but I am American, so that makes me a slut.
CHEERS!
Well, hey, hey! Thank you! Maybe I do have to hang out in the States 'cause here in f?ç"ing Belgium musical culture is not existing. The music maffia (as I call them) only wants artists that are clones of international artists. To answer you question: I simply use a cheap Chinese microphone (more or less $100) and the compressor from Logic Pro.
I'm downloading this set too with hopes that I'll be able to use them in a respectful and recontextualized way. Ambient dub trance is what I'm thinking. I'll be sure to send you the link if I pull it off. Your voice is beautiful! Thank you for making this set available. Cheers, Sean (Scottish not Irish descent).
see i dont like folk song but after listening to this is got like a lord of the rings feel to it an it give me an idea for a song wud u mind me remixing if its not the sm genre?
Hi, it's me again, and I have another request.
Thanks for letting me use these, but this verse has a rather obtrusive drum beat on it. Would it be possible to have verse 4 without the percussion?
Thanks.
Oh also, here's an early version of my song so far- http://kaburorne.net/audio/irish%20folk.mp3
Needs a lot of improvement, but this is the main base of the song :)
I actually just created an account on this website so I could download your verses!
Really nice. I'm trying to mix them into an electronic ambient thing. Very well sung, and you stick to the tempo- which is very helpful.
It must take a lot of control to sing at such a slow tempo :)
Really nice singing, man. Do you mind if I use it?
Thank you! Usely I sing this more loosely, but as I wanted other people to use it, I asked Mr Metronome to help me ;-) Electronic ambient sounds good! So use it man, you have my blessing LOL
Outstanding ! I grew up on Irish/Celtic music ( I'm Canadian by the way - my grandfather was at Vimy Ridge). Anyhow dude, you brought me back to that time when I was young ( oh so very long ago ). Thank you.
I downloaded all 4, I hope to do something with it someday soon if I may, but it may take a while since I will approach this with great respect and thought. ( most of my previous tracks I have thrown myself into them with a "fun with music" mentallity. Not so with this one.
Be well and, may the road rise to meet you....
Thanks, mate! I spend a year in Ireland where I had sean-nos singing classes. I sang this song for years on Irish fairs ... in Belgium ;-) It would be great if you could make something out of it! Peace!
