This is really .. really good Mick. ol'skool the best anyway's.
I get a great sense of urban life from the vov keyboard.. if you had put in a little reggae guitar with it it would have been a nice supprise? respect man great job, love it.
This is genius . . not kidding either . there is so much can be done with this (as in genre) this can be temp ode up into a dance track or adding in some string & bass acoustic .. the only critique that I have is the re verb & reverberation is to strong to wide on the vocal .. the vocal is fantastic and really does not need that much attention, though still needed for the atmosphere and feel of the words and emotional content .. challenge this a bit more .. you will surely come out the other end with something really magic. Respect & all the best. -
Hey daz! yip.. really tight man, quality & step is excellent .. the stick or Rim is to high in pitch for my liking ,, drop it down a few octaves or semitone ? apart from that you got a killer of a track man,, respect to you dude.
You got a point, man. Thanks for the comment! Keep posted for a re-upload of this song. I agree that the snare is a bit sudden, but I dont know if it should be taken down a semitone or octave, as it's not a tone at all but a percussive sound (but it deffinately needs to be softer). I'll mess with the dynamics a bit, and see what I can do to make the song sound more interesting.
Thanks for listening! I'm glad you like it. I've experimented with so many different chords, particularly 6ths and 7ths to try and get a jazz-hiphop melody going, and its great reading that my efforts were not for naught. Peace dude.
THIS IS A FLOOR BUSTER MAN .. THIS IS REALLY TIGHT & WELL PRODUCED .. I WOULD BURST A SERIOUS BASS ON THIS SO THAT I COULD TURN YOUR BRAIN INTO A MILKSHAKE!
Thanks my dude! been workin real hard, locking myself in the lab. wasn't sure if i should do a vid for this one, but i think you changed my mind now, thanks again!
