on Lo-fi Noir Chicago Detective Theme by thechockehold
this is excellent...you should widen it and make some 'normal' track not just this "pulling honeydrew" snippet...:-)

It was just a payed work (supposed to), I play in the Jazz band in real life, this isnt my type of material to made a whole song from.

Thanks for listen Danke! Any advice for bringing forward the vocals? I tend to just compress and increase higher frequencies.

on Summer Fling Ft Jenna Evans by EricMilligan
Music is very cool yeah but that vocal sounds like it was recorded in the tunnel or bathroom or stg like that...hope, you get what I want to say...:-)
weird, strange...I think many people will argue about this ...:-)

handshake, Danke

Hi, Danke. Thanks for providing feedback on the track. If you look at the response to Nicolo's comment (HenryPascal) you will see the details about how I went overboard with processing all the vocal tracks in the project. This is NOT the way Jenna's original acapella sounds. Putting on too much reverb is a rookie error. I should know better! :)

I'm going to re-think the approach to the vocals and, as Nicolo suggested, work on the instrumentation to get more variation.

Thanks again,

Eric

on Satan Is Going To Hell by RedJoe
This main theme is outstanding...scary as hell supposed to be...groovy is unique and the mood too...maybe another part could be there but it's perhaps only me...

Thanks! It has one main important message, and it hits harder with a great subwoofer:) Lyrics were already added to it. This is just the instrumental

on Archos feat Patricia Edwards - You are my World by SonikProiect1
this is too good...yeah, absolute moody disco music from Italy...remotely recognizable sound...only thing: Patricia's voice is a tad bit dry...you should try it with some reverb on it...just sayin...

handshake, Danke

on Dream again by beatzz61
yeah, it's a cool, positive, uplifting, sunny? track with a tad bit much master (or mix) in volume...and is there a bass synth or just under mastered?

handshake, Danke
beatzz61
beatzz61 replied 22nd May 2019 - 6 years ago
Yes, there is a synth bass, and you are right, the mix is not that good.

on TW15092018c by Manfromstars
this is cool...for me it's better EDM than Chill out but it doesn't matter...beside some volume problems (too harsh synths) this is very cheesy and kinda hit...:-)
...and where is the bass (synth)?
there is no 'DEEP' in the song...
hope you don't see this as attack...I like it and it could be much better, I guess...

handshake, Danke

Manfromstars replied 21st May 2019 - 6 years ago
Thank you, but problem is that it is hard to me decide what is or not Chill out or other genres. Today is over 60-80 genres with subgenres?

As hard give track some nice name. ;)

And yes there are loot problems not only volume, but that need somebody with higher technical skills than my basic skills. ;) :/

Then don´t wory, constructive criticism is good if i able understand it with my weak english. ;)

Thanks Danke, always appreciate your kind words :0)

The backing track was made first and I thought I'd give it an overly pretentious title just for a laugh and "Star Shaped Heart" seemed to fit that.
After listening to it a few times the words fell into place quite easily, at some point I'm going to record it somewhere they know what they're doing :0)

Very much like this, great vibe and groovy...one thing only: add some bass from 0.43 til 1.03, when the rhythm section plays...beside this (what could be a personal taste, of course) it's a brilliant track...
