yo cheers BB,you have to bear with me on any pellas as my mic aint workin with the acid programme i got but soon as i do il send you a message bruv, thanx again man,RM
shame to hear about the laptop man! who knows what tasty treats we missed out on. This is a funky joint, still got that kinda offbeat leftfield style you do, and i like the busta samples.
Nice acoustic work. the levels on the piano might need looking at as they started to spin out on my speakers. Touch lower or change to the freqs and they should be ok.
Love that kinda 80s synth band influence when it starts to kick in. Sounds like depeche mode or something. Got a real authentic sound.Lovely wobbly bass really drives it on.
Perfect structure -i really like that it finishes quite similar to how it starts.
Thanks for your comments Bobbybooth. This track is over 2.5 years old now and I'm still pleased that ppl enjoy it. Tbh I can see what you mean about the piano sequences but I had to EQ and levelize them in such a way as to prevent aliasing/distortion with the middle frequences. Well, thanks for thoughts on this and I'm glad you enjoyed the structure of the song. --Davey--
Really like your style. A bit alternative, jazzy samples and some interesting beats. Good vocals used - i dont know if they are you or you have pulled some acapellas but either way, nicely done.
Reminds me of something Dj format might have done, or possibly Jurassic 5. Quality
Really cool. Got a nice set of rhymes there. i like what you did with that sample, gives it a kind of offbeat oddball style which realy suits the lyrics and vocals. its awesome. great ending too.
i like that kind of stream of consciousness flow you have going, semi spoken, semi sung. that riff is heavy and those drums are pure led zep. Really agree with djnosleeves - has that dirty grunge club style. like an early 9 inch nails thing. i dunno, but i just like it!!
this is pretty different - reminds me of something the Go team might make with that kinda banjo style and the funky beats. its got a kind of melancholy to it, but hopeful too. nice work!! really like it.
this is pretty good mate. i would like to hear how it would work with some vocals though, as you have all the elements for a nice tight track here.great beats, and a bouncy type bass.nice!
of the three tracks you recently posted, this is definitely my favourite. i like that you have added a few more hits into that beat, makes it that much more interesting. really dancey and those basslines are sick.
nice work!
This is nice. I like this oldskool style you have. Scratching sounds good and i like the way your piano notes bend a little. Hot bass and your percussion doesnt sounds artificial like some do. nice work
Thank you for the review. I agree with you about the break, i just didn't have anything that went with the vibe of the track that could have kept it sounding the way i wanted and completed it, so i stuck with the same bass line. But thank you for the critique, it's all welcome!
Alot of work gone into this. Its not quite my thang but i dig on what you have done and respect to that. that beat has alot of complexity to its rhythm. Would like to hear some vocals with it!
wicked man. I love the boards, and i really think you have captured that style. Very atmospheric. I Like the reverb on that snare against that chilled bass and sparkly keys.
The organ is crackling a bit in my speakers at about 1:58 - maybe you could fiddle with the frequencies there to tone it down without losing its power.
thanks man, and yeah i noticed that too, i just got tired of messing with the stuff because i did it in one sitting. but anyways i really appreciate the positive feedback
Thanks for the comments! I agree with about the vocals - I lost them a bit when I added that filter..
As for that bass - yea, it's a combination of some really low piano chords and an upright bass synth. Is it too heavy? I don't have my usual speakers with me and the ones I have are really messing me up...

Enjoying those strings - very pan pipes!
Wouldnt mind a bit of a break or some kind of change of the bassline - would just funk it up a notch for me.
