Really good funky track! Should go down well on many a hairdressers ears!
I don't know if it's the bit rate quality of the site but the kick sounds really distorted. Is it a sample or has it been engineered by you?
good work.

Yeah i think there could be a little too much perc work. I would try and strip it back a little to give it the minimal sound that it's crying to be. Good potential def!

Yes I think you are spot on with your review Ive tended to be too perc heavy with a few of my tracks, I just keep getting drawn towards that type of sound. I have had some pretty good sounding minimal tracks on the go and then you add a bit here and a bit there and end up ruining the track. I have also realised vodka + headphones does not work for a good mix Ha! Ha!.
Seriously though for the next few tracks im gonna go minimal and see how it works out.
Thanks for taking the time to review my track.

on Electronic Glass by DeiSenDra
I think with some time and effort the riff could carry a decent tune there.

I love ya bass line!! It's sleazy and moody! The things that let it down in my opinion is the perc. it may be too live sounding, I would try and use electronic perc. Then i would try and build the track into the chord stabs and the horns with sweeps/breakdowns/risers, something. I would love to get my sticky hands on your bass line and the vox!!

Listen to anything by AIR and you'll know what i mean.

Cheers for the feedback. Still need to explore how to execute on the advice you've given as I'm new to the game. Will check AIR and see if I can connect. If you're serious about the getting the trax, I'll see if I can pull them and post or send direct to you via your inbox. Peace

on something is wrong with me by highz
Yeah i dig this little beaut! It almost has an 80's soul feel to the beginning. Really chilled heads down and enjoy outdoor party feel.
Good work.

This is the best produced track i come across on here so far. It isn't my thing but well put together none the less! Love the bass line and the vox though, could make a really good chicago house track outta that!

Good work!

From my personal view, try the opening hats with a little less decay to sharpen them up and turn them down a notch too. Also i would try and layer all the instruments that you have going on. The lead synth copy twice and take one DOWN an octave and the other UP an octave, this will really add depth to the riff. Again, this needs turning down. I have to agree with the other comments about the lack of bottom end. I would again try and layer these. Make one of the bass lines pure sub using only a sine wave and use a high pass filter or EQ the hell out the top end (down to about 150Hz). That should warm it nicely too. Good luck bud!!!

on Take down by Jamiewalker
It's kinda tech meets electro with a real swing to the perc that gives it a techno-ish feel.
