Well, it's certainly creative. Lol
I give you a 10 for that.
It's simple and sometimes simple is best!
Good job. :-)
I bet if you uploaded the acapella they'd have a ball with it. Haha
Ahhhhh! This made me adjust my chair and kick my feet up.
Love the guitar! I too would like to know if it is you playing?
Very nice mellow mood here.
You don't have any info on your profile, c'mon, get in the game! :-)
Welcome to Looperman!!!!
I really wanted to know what UK Drill sounds like.
It kind of reminds me of a dark moment in a movie.
It sort of has a hip hop flare.
It's all muzic, it's all good. :-)
What an interesting array of a muzical smorgasboard. :-)
I know what you mean about change, you look back and realize how far you've come and hadn't even noticed. But that's what makes it fun!
I don't see the original, but I'm sure it sounds terrible!!!!
Haha...JUST KIDDING! :-)
Hi Patricia. Thank you for listening and commenting.
Sometimes when I think I am stuck or feeling down about any progress, I find it helpful to back to where you started just to see/hear the improvements you have made and feel good about that.
Ironically though, I think sometimes it's better not knowing you are bad because it takes the judgement out of it and perhaps you are actually more free to play explore and make mistakes. Judgement is where joy goes to die! :)
Anyway, I couldn't post the link in the original post because Looperman won't allow it. So here is the link to the original I put out about a year ago.... https://soundcloud.com/toddlove/mysterious-power
From a mixing stand point this feels very flat and dull. No EQ or compression, I didn't do any panning, and some other things as well. I know I have SO much more to learn and I could probably come back and remix this track in another year and hopefully do an even better job. But, it's the journey not the destination. Trying to enjoy the process. Besides, this is only the production side of things, it's more important to have something to say with the music itself, even if it sounds not technically perfect.
I've gone on WAY too long, sorry. :) Thanks again!
So, how do you decide what songs to sample for a beat?
You don't have to answer that. Haha.
It's just an interesting thing to me. :-)
Very laid back. I like it.
Or Orlando51, we'll take em all as long as the journey is a good one. Your work has a very distinguished sound. As usual this is pleasant to listen to, very serene and soothing. :-)
I feel like I should say something more than "nice track". :-)
And yuh know when you listen to beats you want to be supportive,
and not just listen and keep it moving?
But I am not a rapper, and from a vocalist view I think could be more helpful and creative from that aspect...like if there was a rap I could lend my opinion as far as vocals or a hook perhaps.
I did dance in my chair and really like the beat. :-)
I think I've listened to a couple of your beats now and they are always top quality!
Indeed guitar therapy.
In one of my other lives I'm pretty sure I was an acoustic guitar,
because they whisper to me. :-)
It's a lovely meditational piece.
I'm guessing you are playing? Cool!
Loving the Saturday morning, sitting by the beach watching the waves go by and not a care in the world feeling this has. :-)
And that wee little tad bit of sound thingee at the veeeeery end. :-)
Yes, all guitars and keyboards/synth sounds are organic,/made with my fat fingers...sometimes its so sloppy its obvious...haha... most of my music has that laid back vibe, I guess..... thanks for taking the spin!!
I think the vocals would be more pleasing to the ear and sound better if the volume was turned down some. That would give it a better feel. I like the track. Nice. :-)
Even without the explanation, this is very heartfelt from beginning to end.
There are a couple places where things are in different keys,
but the feeling and emotion in each section matches your representation of things.
Hoping all is well and things are better! :-)
Thanks again, also bc i used stuff labeled cinematic. The post part has to do with when you look for bands that need a drummer, people will say, post-rock, post-metal, post-punk, just a funny take on that, im glad you liked it
