Nice really dope man. Vocals are very difficult to mix but I suggest using a frequency ducking on the main melodies to have the vocal sit in the mix very nice. As well as some more bass. But the melodies and rapping are good! I would definitely focus more on the mixing and you could definitely have a hit for sure.
Hey!! Nice vibe you got going. I would either keep the bounce going but either making a pattern with the 808's or some slides. But still love the vibe man.
Definitely feel the emotion however you either need to warp the vocals to fit the bpm of the song or just use a metronome when recording your tracks to understand where to end each sound. I would also recommend panning and stereo imaging your sound. That would definitely make your song feel BIG. Just trying to help love it tho!!
Ah reminds me of me younger years. Loved techno music from the 2000's really great man. Love to make edm let me know if you would be down to make anything, really love your style man!!
Love it bro. Love the mix, very open, wide and clean. I would bring up the kick a little big more and give it some punch as well as the drums. Kick and snare are usually prominent in dubstep. None the less very very good!!
If I ever get around to searching a couple different storage drives to see if I still have this file backed up somewhere, I'll play around with the levels. But, until then, I've written this one off as a loss. The laptop that I created this one on took the proverbial shit and died. Along with it, this songs original file. But, I totally agree with what you mentioned, and if I could have, I already would have fixed it. But...such is life.
Either way, I appreciate the suggestion. Not enough people around here throw helpful critiques anymore. That's how we improve, right?
This is it man. Love the mix. Nice I would open it up a little bit more by panning the snares and claps a little bit more. And adding some hall reverb on the strings. Over all love it!!
Well you some how were able to make a very clean sound than what the wave form is showing lol. I would suggest some reverb for for the vocals to give it depth. But overall a good job!
Nice absolutely love it! The only thing holding this back is the volume equalizing and depth of mix. Everything seems like it's in the middle almost mono, with this it would sound extreme full on stereo mix. I hear everything was recorded nice and clear. If I were you I would definitely get a mix engineer on this because it's actually got a ton of potential and energy. Just needs to be polished for the everyday listener. I would definitely add this to my playlist fully mixed and mastered! Definitely a head banger!
Thanx man, ive been playin 10 years... been in a few different local armature metal bands in high school. now ima a full time single Dad just trying to put out some music for a positive outlet ... Im aware that the mix of my song is a little dull.. (That's Audacity for yah) lol
but I recorded all the instruments in my apartment on a Zoom R8 Mixer, then uploaded to the Audacity program. I've recently upgraded to Presonus, and I also got a buddy who has FL studios who could help with the engineering. all in due time. i got lots more badass songs where that came from!
