Nice one, loving it, brings back memories.
Beautiful voice and nice trick with the vocoder in the background.

Thanks you for comment. Actually I have forgotten how I implemented the vocoder :-) But it is still all in there... Cheers, Oli

Hey Oli! yo I use 20+ year old vst software sometimes. Heck, Electra and Spire are getting up there in age, and i use them in almost every song. Theres something special about older software when it comes to making this type of music - and yes, epscially for the basslines lol/ But dont sleep on the pads or synth orchestral stuff, either. I love this one dude, the vocals and background vocals were very interesting - had to listen twice man, i had some special ciggarettes this evening lol...and well, this track was really dope to listen to. Britt likes it too, so it gets her seal of approva! i dont always get that myself lol. cheers brother

Next to the other sounds I use Reaktor from NI for about 20yrs. Even today I still find unusual sounds in there. It was the first good sounding VST Synth. There is a huge user database with self made synth models existing today. Have a good flight :-) Cheers, Oli

I don't think this is really about cake at all! ;)
I know Kraftwerk and Rammstein have been mentioned, but to me, that bassline is far more reminiscent of some old Skinny Puppy, or Leather Strip.
I'm just curious, for your synth work, do you use analogue or VST software? The different sounds you have in this are so clean and rich it could easily be analogue. If it is digital, then job well done! Well, even if it's analogue, it's still a job well done.
It's good to hear music here that leans into the industrial. There's not much of it. I hope to hear more from you like this.
Take care.
V.

Hi Valvedriver, You are right with this one. Not every song about a cake means it is about a cake ;) I do have some nice analog synth over here but the main bassline comes from a 20yrs old VST Software. This style of music is my personal hobby, next to all the other projects like Kayos etc. I'm sure I will find more time to produce some more likewise songs. Cheers, Oli

Very Nice! I guess I would say pound cake because of that pounding beat, also I'm feeling a little early Kraftwerk. Was that German you used for the dialogue? Very nice production and performance, all the best

Yes, it is German, my native language. I still got some early Kraftwerk in my veins :-) Cheers, Oli

This is some digital cake for sure. That bassline, the beeps and the vocal give it a dope electronic vibe. Almost reminds me of Paul Hardcastle's 19 and Rainforest albums. You guys got unique talent for real

Oh! Eh! Where did you get that voice from? It's like Till Lindemann at his very best! I don't know what to say. Well, let's cut the cake. I would almost see it as a well-done homage to Rammstein. Hm! Wow!
Best regards and have a wonderful weekend, Manuela

Hello VTNights, one of my first thoughts was a big piece of cake....tons of white icing so sweet you're reluctant to touch.....but you must because you know how good and sweet the first taste is gonna be....just my imagination of course. I like the bright soundtrack and uplifting percussive effects, it really takes this track onward and upward....good work.
