Coming from a 57 years old man, who is a computer technician for 40 years, I am new to loops and you young people are making want to learn more and more each day.The things you can do at home I dreamed about when I started playing drums in the sixties. my 58th b-day coming and I got some Analog and now loop tracks on youtube now.Peace To you all.
i respect that fact your a computer tech! thats something ive been thinkin about doing as a career... but yes its a whole lot you can do at home, limitless..and i would like to hear your loops btw
yes it is a bit minimalistic meaning you seem to operate only a few elements in here but overall it is a really enjoyable beat. You can always add more elements or variations to the track if you like. Best, Alex
I love the simplicity in this, it is really catchy and it sounds great the way you panned the sounds around while keeping the melody and percussion centered
This sounds like fun, good groove simple but direct melody that has
a touch of class...
I can hear the voicings that could help this on it's way, funny how that
happens...I like the space, ideas running all around...
Nice piece of work...
DG: No, I think you should do the expansion of this track. First, you apparently do have a longer version in the works and second, I've hit a bit of a dry spell in terms of creativity for several months now, so I am not confident that I would actually get anything accomplished. Better for you, as the composer, to take it further. That being said, I still would like to collaborate with you on something in the future -- once I get things back on track.
See now I can say the same thing to you, the horn lines are way too bright
and should be tuned down, only because they are not real horns...
But that's my taste....Right...
Thats tru, it was just a sample i was working on lol, and yes thats your taste, no prob, im always open to other ppl views, suggestions, and therefore i do make changes to see how it might impact the track with a few adjustments keeping in mind i still have the original track incase i dont "like" that change :)
More! This is very promising, an excellent mix, but needs to be longer and develop more. You might remember that I laid a melody line on one of your previous tracks because I liked it so much. I have the same reaction to this track. Your stuff is very musical. This one is almost delicate in the arpeggiated portions. A really nice floating feel to it. I'd like to hear variation in the chord progression and perhaps something legato overlaying on top of some sections. I really liked the way the string synth chords came in just a little bit behind the beat. It is subtle touches like that which make your tracks stand out.
Thanks! and yes you did a good job on that track! i will make it longer and lay out a few chords or if you want to, i can send you the file and you can add them however you like...
it sure is a mix..lol maybe a lil too much.. and thanks for the opinion and it was longer i just cut it short, i was unsure, its really something i was working on..lol im considering maybe changing some sounds and taking like the bells off...

This is quite an odd mix.
It has a very bright and positive, uplifting, somewhat dreamy feel to it with the use of that lead arp. Like some sort of 80s fantasy film soundtrack.
And then the hip hop drums though maybe some would say this is more like trap.
Reverse cymbals work quite well.
It's a very clean and bright mix. Quite sparse so it's easy to hear everything.
I assume you'll lengthen it a bit. Or maybe not. What do you think?
