sorry for not getting back sooner, very busy. yeah man..I love old school samples, and most you will find in the early Editor's like Ejay 360 low sample quality, but with a little know how they can be brought back to life .. thank you REV87 FOR passing by and taking an interest. Peace,Light & Respect your way.
Yes! I suppose It does; but in many ways. My theme for this creation is more on the Biblical outlook of the end times! I am not Religious .. but Knowledgeable about many faiths. thanks for listening Denis. respect & Peace man.
A fusion of blues & Carribean beats ? Nice as always Mose my friend. You have a vast depth of talent that I admire greatly. Then theres that kinda hip-hop vocal. Reminds me of Faithless. This is such thoughtfull work & I like this a lot mate.
Very different & very nice Mose my friend. Theres so much happening yet so little. Works on many different levels. Intelligent music making. This is so great because you just cannot slot it into a genre. The vocal snippet running thro' is superb. Sounds like a bit of the call to prayer.Mate I'm well impressed with this and enjoyed it greatly. Quality work.
Awsome Word's .. Thank You Kindly For Your Listening To Me Sounds VSS. IT IS FRIENDS LIKE YOU THAT MAKE THIS POSSIBLE FOR ME TO BE AS CREATIVE AND POSITIVE AS I WANT TO BE PAL .. I am working hard with acoustic guitar to come up with something total MAD but so Cool at the same time? Love Light & Respect.
Man I dig this groove, ever since back in the day when a friend of my sister's asked if I wanted to go to a concert with some bloke called Bob Marley playing I've been a convert...apart from the great bottom end and rhythm groove I love the horn arrangement,it cerebrally takes me back into that early Calypso modal frame but with an orchestrated contemporary slant...this is great stuff!..you definitely have the waters of Babylon flowing through you..way cool! cheers Dave :)
I new you would get where this track was coming from PJB. I watched the great Bob Marley and the Wailer's in the north west of England back in the prior 1970's in Blackpool. AWSOME experience.
After getting lost among your 500 year old musical library .. I thought? What is it that I can contribute to this Society here on Looperman and? Well it is you to come here and talk with me about music and SONG. I am well happy mr Ozzy Jock!
Hey man this grooves along nicely..it's amazing the interpretation you've put on it..love the vocals!..Riddim Mechanic was the name of the loop,I'm Planetjazzbass hehe...this is my first visit to your profile and I notice your a Scott..well apart from being an Aussie my genetic code is Sinclair/Marshall lol..great tune mate! you got de riddim!
cheers Dave :)
The Clan Sinclair's came from the north East Of The Highland's In The Burugh Of Caithness .. They Fought a very famous battle where they all warrior'ed into battle to the Absalute End. true scottish Warriors. (cle'n nhigh ashoct mie'm ardoch.)
You are so kind sir with your feedback and input. I was surfing the looperman blog for the firs time today and your comment caught my attention Mr PJB. I Absolutely agree with your Analogy that POP MUSIC IS SO FUNKING Dumbed down slightly & maybe beyond! but this is the sign of the times when you look at the MOVIE industry, all that special effect's that we are all becoming accustom to? To be honest, I still enjoy a good James Cagney film or Jack Pallance.
You are an inspiration to me my friend and I want you to know I am so delighted that you give soo much away of your talent, I hope the youngies will respect your word and Input. Respect and much Love your way. G'DAY MATE.
I am not 100% sure, but I think the vocal is from early e-jay? I have thousands of samples .. the odd file pop's up on the computer after year's of gathering dust, and WHAM! the inspiration comes.
ONCE UPON A TIME .. just kidding. I found some old skool samples on a disc .. that was given to me years and years ago. not to sure where they are from, but I think some of them are from early e-jay? I pulled them out just 6-7 weeks ago and I have not stopped dabbling with them yet, I have been trying to fuse reggae with hip hop & rap and the kitchen sink and what ever else I can find. I like to do things different and difficult, I stay away from the predictable but I am also trying not to stray to what is familiar .. oldskool with a new sense of dress!
Very nice but like a blank canvas the piano was unexpected and could use a lot more of it, some key changes would take it to another level to making it a great song perhaps! this piece is ripped for a remix! very good.
Thanks djwazu .. you are spot on .. I hope to get back to this and take it to a different Level, I also know this one is going to take me many hours .. but I will have it done soon.
Oh yeah man I have followed down your tracks and found this beauty. You is a talented person indeed. This is so quality my friend. Absolute class mate.
Oh yeah Mose you have nailed the vibe spot on. I love this and could listen to it for always. Total quality my friend and huge respect to you for making such a major tune.
THANKS VVS. I never slept for around 4 day's working on this track .. in total, I think I spent over 100 hours on this Reggae Tune. I have a number of Discs with oldskool samples and I have not got bored with them yet. Please check out my Seanboogie mix and give me some honest feedback, I would really appreciate that man. Respect your way.
just before I joined loopereman .. I found some old skool samples .. and been working on them now for about a couple of months! I have'nt got bored yet. Respect Back your way LordDice.
I like this one Mosestone2211...has the potential to go in a variety of directions....the melody is very subtle under that big beat & bass but good listening over this side of the pond...Ed
Thank's for stopping by Tumbleweed, Not sure where or what next; Obviously away's yet to completion but! I'm sure the moment will hit me.. much respect man, I have listened to your work .. Awsome.
