You definitely meshed live drums and synths together nicely. I listen on my studio monitors and headphones and heard no disparity. Always remember to balance the setting between those two instuments where possible. Example: If synth is heavy reverb, then dry up the drums a bit so it'[s not overwhelming.
Yeah, that's a good idea. I was thinking about sidechaining the synths to the kick and the reverb to the snare and toms which might help everything sit in the mix better.
Hello, are you looking for a collab for this? I think I really feel this tune as it's kind of trance I'm keen on. I could add some pretty nice things if you work on FL Studio. Contact me if it's possible :)
OOOOH. I love it. If you get those drums right, oh my goodness. This song will be amazing. That simple chord progression is so beautiful and you execute them via cool synths that I really dig. Very tastefully done. At the moment, the only thing is the drums sound too far back. :)
I was trying to add space to the drums to make them sound like they were recorded live, but mixing acoustic drums with electronic synths is very difficult! I appreciate the kind words! I'll try to fix those drums up! :D
hey, i really like this. Sounds awesome. maybe like a Kygo-esq dance song.
If your looking for some suggestions - its a tiny bit repetitive maybe adding an extra melody towards the end will keep peoples attention a bit more.. but thats just my thoughts :)
Pretty much what ShurelyTemper said but I have to say that I'm loving what you've got so far. The sounds you've made are chill as heck which I love and that kick and clap is very nice
Hi jman. I can suggest a few ideas. Keep the main arp back for introduction at a slightly later part of the track. Start out with kick, snare, then bass, get a groove going then lead us into your main melody but don't give it all up so soon. Chop the main arp melody down into chunks & loop to tease us. But bring it in at the first major break, and defo get the real rhythm in earlier. finally introduce a new sound (strings or synth) that either lifts or toughens the melody.
Yeah, I think you're right. A more traditional intro would probably sound better. Don't want to burn the listener out on the melody before it really even gets going. Thanks!
