Hi Indieground!
One day, when I was trying to do some things in my microkorg, my niece said: wow it looks like a flying saucer hahahah, so that gave birth to this song
Ohhh! yes! what an AWESOMEE! beat and remarkable mix here, this is splendid!/professional work here to the max!...A Very TOP! quality! track, it made me move for sure! love this, an easy fave indeed. Keep up the OUTSTANDING!! Work Bravo!
Thank you for the kindness. I really like this song, because my daughter recorded the vocals, despite being very shy. I want to launch it soon, but I want to make sure it is as balanced as possible. Feedback is very important for me to reach the level that this song deserves, both the feedbacks that suggest some modification and those that already consider it at a good level. So, at this point, I have to think like a chef, some customers want a little more salt, others don't want much, and so on ... So, at this point in production, I believe that only subtle changes should occur. I can give an example of the opinion that BaoBao gave about a month ago ... he was right and I made some changes that I thought made production more incremental, despite the fact that he didn't even notice these changes, because they were subtle.
NerdyFerdy800 also gave precious touches that I will still explore, but I will take into account opinions like yours, because for you that sound is already at a good level and I cannot risk making big changes to change something that is already good . So, I have to think like a chef in a big restaurant, to try to please as many people as possible, always keeping in mind that it will never be possible to please everyone and, of course, trying to keep the essence of the recipe, the main course .
I think your voice is splendid. But this should not be new to you.
Thanks again for listening and commenting.
This song is not yet ripe in my head ... as soon as I'm sure how it will be released I would like to open a project for her remixes, I think it can give a good material.
Just have a listen from A to Z to your track mate. All those vocals are really really great !
as i had read afrobeat i was not really expecting this kind of song but i was rather pleasantly surprised.
There is an "Iko Iko" track vibe which is a good thing if you know what I mean ?
Ok I just listened a second time and again the voices are excellent.
Hello Indieground!
In the first, I like to thank you so much for listening mys tracks. I saw that you have a long production, and no stay here for kindding, you play the game in the hard level lol
About this song... Yes, realy have the same vibe that iko iko hhahah Wen a listening a good acapella I try to imagine at the first what kind of drum lines it will good on it, so I found this nicely loop of DJFIBBS, an it seemed that have a good glue.
I don´t had to make anything on vocals, because I think that is no necessary change something that my ears like it. The big trouble, how our friend Cru had spoken, is how to make it interesting for the listener.
I am very hapy because you like it.
Great tune! May i give you a honest opinion what i would make different as i find the honest opinions drive you further.
I really love the 303 line but it lacks nit of power and in your face feel.. This would be my main line i would stick on.
I find the percussion elements to much in front and little to loud.
Bring the 303 line in front as your main line to stick on.
Maybey use a mor punchier bassdrum.
But! I hear Great variations in sound and very much work into the arrangement!very well done!
Cheerz nerdyferdy
Hello Nerdyferdy800!
That kind of opinion has a lot of value, because as you said it makes us improve the sound. Your comments make perfect sense to me. I'm still not satisfied with this song, which if I'm not mistaken, I've been trying to close it for about six months. I'm not even sure what her style would be, but it's between a Techno / House ... I'll try to do what you said on the bass line, maybe use some kind of side chain with the kick, and let the tone drier can be an option. As for the percussions I will also do some tests to see how it would look.
Thank you very much for your comments.
I like this, minimal is not always easy to pull off, and not everyone will like it, but I really appreciate a good detailed minimalist song like this one, because I know how hard it is to make it make sense to the listener. The emphasis is on a good vocal, and a nice rhythm, the rest are just elements to move the listener along. Good work my friend.
Steven
Steven,
I am still discovering myself as a producer. This is a world where I started less than two years ago, so I'm still a child discovering the world hehehe
Like every child, I also like to explore and test the limits, sometimes to the extreme ... for more or for less, I try to understand why some rules has established are so strong. Some things are easy to understand, others I need to test, see with my own eyes, to then respect those limits. That is why feedback is very important ... In the course of it all it is natural to make many mistakes and very few hits. But when the hits happen they are worth it for everything else ...
Any producer wants his music to be heard and to have a good concept, otherwise it would not be necessary to publish.
I'm loving Looperman because it's a place where I can put my sound on and test it to see what’s working and what’s not. I already made the mistake of publishing songs that were not ready on Spotify or Youtube, I like them a lot, but today I see defects that I haven't seen for a year (in fact, we will never be truly satisfied lol).
So this opportunity that I'm having here I didn't have anywhere, the opportunity to test my sound with other guys who also produce and can give feedback.
Specifically about this song, it is really simple, but the intention was precisely to test this minimalist thing, which I swear I thought was a simpler thing to do hehehe. It doesn't look like it but the project has 19 audio tracks, not counting the effects tracks. It took many hours of work and still has some details that I am not entirely satisfied with. But it will be very subtle changes ...
I'm not trying to please everyone, we already know it's impossible, the intention here is to attack a concept and bring my truth, my art, my experiences, and try to somehow leave a mark ... Certainly standing out is a very difficult task, because there are many people producing, and many good people producing ... But as they say here in Brazil, those who are in the rain are to get wet.
As soon as I started listening, I thought "no, it's not for me" ... but then I still wanted to continue to the end, and I must say that it's not as bad as I thought.
The rhythm is definitely interesting, nothing to dispute about the mix / mast, which is of good quality as you used to it.
The only thing that didn't satisfy me completely is the arrangement, a little too minimal for my taste. I understand that it is the vocal track that guides the whole song, but also that has no significant variations.
I really like sax, it is an instrument that if well used is ... orgasmic!
Henry, your comments are always welcome, I'll explain why. You are a very observant and very sincere guy, so when I look at a comment from you on a song of mine I immediately think: good, I will get a free consultation lol
It's great to be able to count on an additional point of view, most people are a little afraid to be as sincere as you are, I include myself in that hehehe but your criticisms are always constructive. As for the arrangement, I saw the other remixes of the song and I wanted to do something a little more different, so I decided to bet on the percussions, and I think the sax lines break the monotony in a very interesting way, but that's the musical taste...
A big hug and thanks for the free consultation lol
40 years ago in a land far away i also woke up in a place i did not know, surrounded by synthetic creatures i am glad you made this track so i can relive the experience hee hee good work Robbie.
Hello Patricia!
I am very honored with your comment.
I also think like you and I believe that some changes in this sound would be very welcome. So I opened a post on the forum asking for help to release some remixes of that sound.
If you are interested in knowing please see the topic "challenge-to-create-remixes-for-a-new-album", there we already have six remixes by the time they are ready.
Thanks for listening.
Ok, Yeah, this one intros so nice. Really good tune, love the vocals, it just has a really cool mood to it. Guitar work is sublime. And the Bass cuts through nicely. Your Outra is awesome as well. Great Job.
