Hi BaoBou. Thanks for the comment. This one is a bit different from what I do usually, I was a bit experimental with the intro, and I am quite happy with how it turned out overall.
This has definitely got that whole Wax Trax vibe to it and I can definitely hear KMFDM in there, plus a bit of early Ministry. I like the guitar tone on this. The whole song is very punchy, great synth parts. Everything sits well in the mix. Great track.
Hello BullittVolante. I have many more like this. Back in 2002 I was in a promising industrial project called Statick Black. We were set to open for Rammstein, and problems with management, flights, and many other things happened. The end result after all kinds of frustration and arguments was that I now do everything solo, and I'm much happier. Thanks for the comment my friend.
Well man, I've been listening to industrial since the early days of Wax Trax, and I gotta say, you did a fine job with this one. The high-gain guitar work definitely has that KMFDM ring to it, and yeah...there's a lot of synth work in here. Good job on that. Did you create all the patches yourself, or are you using presets/loops?
Excellent work, man. Keep it up.
Take care.
V.
Hello ValveDriver. Industrial was the reason I got into music production many moons ago. There is a well kept secret sample pack, that the big names like skinny puppy kmfdm and many others still use. It's by a company called Best Service, the pack is called Phantom Files Vol.1. The drum folder has around 900 of the best drum loops ever for industrial and ebm. As far as bass and synth lines, I usually start with a preset in various synths and tweak from there. Guitars are usually live, and double tracked and effected accordingly. Seriously check out that pack if you can, and I appreciate the comment...Cheers!
Cheers Dan! This one has apocalyptic undertones about the beginning of societies downfall. I'm not a big doom and gloom guy, but the new movie "28 Years Later" inspired this project and the one I'm currently working on.
Beautiful work here mindway and the vocals so good.
I liked your song, it is fresh, even if it talks for a seperation and this is after all youth. You can always start over, new beginnings and dreams you can live.
Best regards, Anthony
Thanks Anthony. I have no connection to the song lyrics, I just felt like this vocal needed a composition similar to the style of Lady Gaga or something like that. I think I got pretty close.
