I like the idea a lot! But in my personal opinion I feel that the wind FX are a little tacky. The vocal solo was pretty awesome though. I liked how it added an extra flavor of epicness to the mix. And the strings are lovely. I think the drums could use a little more variation on velocity; they come across as too midi-fied for me. Great starting point, I look forward to hearing the finished product! If you're willing - when you're done I'd like to try my hand at mixing/mastering this one! I love the song. I really do. Like skwish said, it could definitely be behind some intense game industry for COD or Battlefield!
