beautiful string melody and perfect transition to your synths (drop). i like the use of plucked sounds in this second section. i wonder if you adjusted the volume of the singing since the comment about it being too loud because it sounds well-balanced now (and amazing high notes!). beautiful work. congratulations.
Yes, a very good cinematic track. I thought it might work well with an episode of Game of Thrones! :) I read Sohostar's comments and your response. I'm not exactly sure what he's suggesting either, but I think I partially understand. I think he's "seeing" a battle scene unfolding as he listens to your music, like a movie. What he didn't "see", apparently, was the kind of shifting from one view (e.g., a broad view of the battle), to a more focused view of only a part or the action that is going on. He's thinking cinematically, which is a high compliment for you because that's what your music has triggered in his imagination. He's essentially asking for more, shifts in the music, perhaps introduction of different themes or instruments that evoke difference scenes within the "war" theme. I don't really know if this is a reasonable request because it seems that he's wanting you to compose music to align with something he has in his head. But, I would definitely take it as a compliment.
By the way, the Voxos choir library sounds great. I was not aware of it. I can't afford it, but it really sounds excellent and you used it really well.
I like your music. I was trying to suggest to broaden your approach. If you try to build a storyboard to go with your music, there is essentially one theme, one picture. But movies tell a story which is often a dialog. I've been trying to put a story board to your music, which has the broad picture, but never a "closeup". I was suggesting a dialog between framed scenes. Like in a comic book, there is the broad War scene, but the cartoons/storyboard would jump between the broad view, and the closeup of the snorting horse, and back to the broad view, and then to the apprehension of looking at the wall of warriors, and back to the primary characters.
Can you frame your music with themes and intensity to model the changing "focus" on the participants?
I still don't understand what you're talking about.
Maybe my english is very basic or something like that, but... sorry, I can't understand you.
I never plan the thematic of the track. I only make music, and it flows alone... and then I call it as it sounds.
Great work as always.
You've captured the warfare theme. Have you tried a dialog?
Think of a sound track to printed material... Like if you put together a pile of news articles
Brooding theme - pensive, with spikes of anger
Evil theme - building to militant destruction
Disaster theme - battle between death and survival
reflective theme mild pause - resolve from minor key
AH-HA! Solution - drums - upbeat march - horns
resolution - continuation - passion moves against all odds.
