Knew was going to love this piece, especially with piano in it, and now listening to the piece, I totally love the laid back vibe about the piece, seems to work and flow together very nicely...Mate might download this one, and see if I have a vocal to pop over it, hope that's all good, let me know if you rather I didn't, will upload here if can get vocal to work within the mix...FAV...Peace n Respect matey...Mos..

Commented on Acoustic Jazz Classical 115bpm by Ozzi Hey Ozzi, great work!!! Love that sax, but when the strings kick in, man it just gets so good. This one reminds me of something that might be playing in a movie...perhaps in France or Italy. It has great cinematic appeal.

Stellar work. I think drums would only clutter this one up. Maybe some soft brush work would be OK, but anything more than that would detract from the essence of this one.

Added to favorites. I hope all is well.

Commented on Acoustic Jazz Classical 115bpm by Ozzi All three I'm pretty sure. Sounding real smooth though Ozzi, digging that Sax. I'm sure this is what the Midnight Man listens to before he goes about on his nightmare sprees. He also sips a glass of fine wine beforehand to get a feel for it. Then ya know, he does his thing. lol Really nice production Ozzi, peace

Commented on All About You 80bpm by Ozzi I do like the piano playing on this one, ah yes very nice break down at the 1:40 mark. It could use a slightly more polished mixdown I think though. But otherwise skillfully done track, like the original one too. Catch ya later bro. peace

Commented on Latest Instrumental 100bpm by Ozzi Hi MrOzzi,
You have to finish this one! This is too good to forget about it.
A couple of more detailed words...
    - first of all I totally agree with MrNomad, bring back the drums! we need them!
    - I like the "flamenco" feeling in the section around 2:20
    - I am usually not too fond of the "hyper-compressed-pick-bass" sound you used, but I was surprised: in this context it works extremely well
    - the track is a bit too long, but that's only due to the lacking instruments.
Again... I want to hear this one finished!
    Thanks!
    Ciao, Domenico

PS: once more, I agree with MrNomad: the chord progression you repeat several times is *really* close to PeopleAreStrange (not a big issue anyhow...)

Commented on Latest Instrumental 100bpm by Ozzi Yo. First thing is that I'll definitely enjoy this more with drums (well, good ones). But then I'm a groove guy so I guess I would say that.

It's very acoustic and there's lots of good and accurate playing in here. Though your guitar seems a bit lacking in groove at times. Maybe it'll make more sense with the drums.

1:45-1:48 is very close to The Doors' classic People Are Strange. May well be the same downward piano progression.

Very much a tight song structure that seems all planned out in advance. The opposite of my mega edited jam tracks. Lots of good chord movement too.

Everything sounds well recorded and these are very clean sounds.

I can't help but think that there will need to be something else ie vocals once the drums are in there. Aha - I see sax and trumpet are to come. Cool.

Maybe I can also hear a bit of Hotel California in there. Not sure.

Good stuff but stick those drums etc in and I'll see how I really feel about it!

Commented on Da Nameless song 80bpm by Ozzi I love tracks such as these as it can fit into quite a few genres , it could be chill out as an example , nice work on the guitar and pads and the slappy bass which i think you might be using, fits in like a glove . Very chilled and easy going fair dues ..Ps also love the fade out ending ..

Commented on Da Nameless song 80bpm by Ozzi RnB?

Sounds nothing like that to me. Just as well as most of it I don't lie. But I do like this - much more musical and far less annoying than most r'n'b I've heard.

Drums are very gentle and sort of floating and sound great. How are you doing them? Programmed acoustic software? Great kit sound and quite a few good fills. 2:34-2:36 fill particularly effective.

Guitar also very gentle and delicate with some strong melody. Bass has quite a ballsy sound but if fits really well and there seems to be a lot of space for us to hear all its fills. I think that's because of how the guitar is playing.

Strings are the sort of cherry on top and complement everything.

2:12 something percussive a little like a cowbell but quite subtle.

I guess it does sound like a good song missing a vocal but still sounds good as an instrumental.

This wasn't too "ridiculously jumbo" a review for you was it?
    Ozzi
Reply by Ozzi Hahahaha! Hi Static, to be honest I have no idea on which genre is falls upon, an emotional Hip Hop perhaps? The drums are an acoustic kit dulled down to give it a sampled tinge and ravaged with transients and in built filters. The drums are programmed with the MIDI keyboard, played out as if it were a piano only much more difficult, I can't use the mouse or the MPC pads as I lose rhythm quick..

This instrumental, is pretty hollow. I removed many tracks to keep it from popping, hence the reason why it's soo linear and chronically looped - not much distractions. Backing vocals also removed..

Thanks for your time static, but your review is quite miniature compared to most, I'm sad, devastated and feel unapreciated, actually..

    Hahahaha, you're a good man..

Commented on Da Nameless song 80bpm by Ozzi Love the strings: very soft and delicate.
    Good work on the drums.
Some notes in the bass don't match too well the tone of the song.
Overall, great piece waiting for a vocal part... you need to find somebody to sing over it!
    Very good.

Reply by Ozzi Thank you very much Dom, to be honest I can't hear any off notes. I know theres got to be one, as you're not the first to mention it, but I cant find it even when playing the acoustic guitar and bass together isolated from the rest..

    I appreciate it, Dom!

Commented on Da Nameless song 80bpm by Ozzi Hey Ozzi

Mate very nice piece, one of those hair pulling tracks by the sound of it, mine still hasn't grown back yet from that pop track I did, starting to think its never coming back lol...This one sounds like a simple piece but effective track to convey feelings nicely...a nice vocal would sit in this extremely well friend...Maybe that is what is missing from it??? Seems to have plenty of space crying out for a vocal...Might see if have vocal that might work in it and might download if ok and add vocal...Just need to get couple more tracks sorted here first...will contact you via contact tab when ready to think about it... okies...Fav'd...Peace n Respect dude...Mos...

Nicely done sounds different than yesterdays.

I also think that there are more drums in this 1, well maybe its abit clearer.

The guitar is one nice instrument and I like the dramatics of the voice note you brought in compared to yesterdays version.

Reply by Ozzi Cheers, bro. Yeah, it's getting there, but it's a skank of a track to work on. The more I do, the more snap, crackle and pop I get..

Anyway, liking the violins that you've added and i think you've added more drum work from what i remember from yesterdays play.
You shouldn't beat yourself up Ozzi, It's a good track and it was worth the update.

Commented on Da Nameless song 80bpm by Ozzi Do you know what? I must be getting old because i'm really starting to like R&B. That guitar reminds me a little of Craig David's sort of style. Niceley matched up with the bass and the slow clap.
I had to laugh at your track description "Got bored and couldn't be arsed anymore" I get that all the time as well.
You could just try throwing a pella over the top of it. That would take at least another two minutes lol.
Anyway, cheers for sharing your track.

Reply by Ozzi Lol! Stop trying to make me feel better, it's not working. After countless hours and my social life discarded out the window along with the slow claps, I've finally managed to complete it, I think. Still disapointed, but you can't win them all! By the way
