Description : Aristeia is ancient Greek, literally: "A warrior's prowess; excellence." In the dramatic conventions of such works as the Iliad, this is a scene in which a hero in battle has his finest moments (aristos = best). It is usually associated with men but can be expanded also to encompass women (as in the case of Andromache). In the latter case the aristeia is of a different sort, grief. Such is the high quality of the hero's offensive, an Aristeia scene usually results in the death of all those standing in his way. One of the most epic examples of aristeia is in Book 21 of the Iliad when Achilles almost single handedly routs the Trojan army. So first cinematic track I have ever made. Mixing could be better but yah. I like the dynamics in cinematic music so here is a short one I came up with a an hour ago.
Playing on the ole' piano and came up with a pretty dramatic melody.
I could totally see this in a movie. What do you guys think?

Description : A remix entry for an AcidPlanet contest. The original had a very CHILL sound to it with acoustic guitar, but the prostitution context of the lyrics inspired me to take a more dramatic "creepy" angle, so I re-visioned all the music (using loops) and kept only the vocal track. There's something subversive in the text - and I wanted to explore that musically with some haunted orchestral layering and added vocal "textures" - best heard with headphones. Enjoy.

Description : Initially composed intro for Malos Nolw fantasy saga. But also used by Apinax Dvd-Collections backround music.
Description : The whole song was created on an old Yamaha DJX keyboard (remember them ?!) running through an FX rack and recorded direct to my FD8 multitrack, kinda difficult to record as I had to play the bass parts with one hand and change the drum loops with the other (only way I could get the 2 parts to play in time). The intro's maybe a little long for some peoples tastes, but I kinda like the build up. I believe this track was used in a film by an LA film student, which is cool.

Description : This is an orchestral piece I did for an intro type or introduction to a CD. I wanted to try a new theme. I've gotten into a little bit of futuristic or space theme music so to speak, so I wanted this to kind of be as epic as possible. Maybe something you'd hear in a galaxy far, far, away.
