Description : Heya ll you beautiful music makers ! Feels like a long time since I have posted anything. This is a bit heavy and dark. Female acapella (Cheryl Meuller). Hard rock/metal with some orchestrial ambiance and of course I played lots of fun guitar parts. I may have overused the tremolo a bit but my new guitar stays in tune great. Description : This was a collab to pay tribute to the Late Great Gary Moore. I had the opportunity to collab with all of the talented gentlemen on several occasions. As always it's been a true pleasure and honor to work with such great guys.
Several of the Looperman residents I have tremendous respect for. There is a point of great sorrow when we lose an artist we all admire. I hope for the memory Gary Moore, we have done some justice in paying tribute to his great music. Comments always welcome.

Description : This is a latin based track, laid back and great for getting lost in it's melody. I just aquired a Godin "La Petrie" acoustic guitar and was anxious to hear how it sounded, so this is the first track I recorded with it. I tried to create a mood so people could visualize the setting. Hopefully it comes across as a vision of some utopian place in paradise. Big kudos for buddy Steve Bone (Slap Johnson) whom I always turn to for mood setting woodwind loops. All other instruments via Roland Midi GR-20 Guitar or loops.

Description : This was a song entry for a remix contest for John Schlitt on Acidplanet. It never placed but I thought it would be worth posting. While most other entries went into electronic or other genres, we kept true to John's style with a hard rock edge. John Schlitt (former lead singer of Petra)wrote the song and sang the lyrics. I added guitar and harmonica and Buddrumming punched in some drums. A good summer rocker to kick the speakers out.
Description : Music can create many moods, but for me my favorite is the cinematic epic track. It creates tension, emotion and suspense. Foolin with Madness is exactly what it says. It's not pretty and soothing, it's directly in your face like a slap in the face with a wet fish. I think I lost my mind in it. You never know if it's going to work or not until you are nearly done, but it's a hell of a lot of fun to take those risks. Description : A latin version of the Sade Classic - Smooth Operator - Performance License with Harry Fox Agency. I got to brush up on my Santana chops. I had an arm injury with damaged nerves and dislocated shoulder. Seems to be healing well after a month. This was good therapy.
Description : Cover of MJ's "Beat It." A bit more of a heavier take but I think it brings it up to a more modern feel. Very little synth, just straight in your face rock. Took me quite a while to work out a guitar solo, which I basically jigsaw recorded in small sections to make it a little easier.

Remember Me ( Recuerdame ) is a latin guitar rock instrumental track that is based somewhat on the cover progression by & la Quinto Estacion. I played all the instruments and layed out the music beds and changed the progression and tempo a bit to make it interesting. (authorized through Harry Fox Agency #SL26498)
A real emotional piece in the key of E Minor Mixolydian and Penatonic. Features, some cookin' electric guitar, acoustic flamenco, piano and strings. I'm not a drummer so the drums were compliments of Toontrack Superior Drummer
This was therapy to get the arm back into shape. I'm so glad to be back making music again ! Perhaps it's time to do a few more collabs too...Woohoo

Description : I put this one together while looking out the window at the year's first snow. A good moody driving song to get lost in. Three chord slowhand blues progression. Thanks to Slap Johnson for the great sax loops used in this song. I used my GR-20 guitar synth for a few of instruments including the Rhodes Organ, always a fun toy compared to doing on my keyboard sometimes. Most of the recording was done with my new Les Paul Studio guitar, err... (until i I broke a string on the outro, so I decided to throw in a Fender Strat too to finish it up. Description : Everyone who loved Van Halen were crushed to hear of the passing of Eddie. We decided to do something to show some of the influence he had on guitarists everywhere and how his style impacted rock music. Nobody played quite like him and it's too hard for me to even do so. There are a few recognizable licks but this is what Eddie taught and influenced us, but in our own style.

Description : A storm is something to marvel. This is about the power of mother nature in all it's awesomeness. I had this instrumental song in the can for a while and had most of it finished. So finally it's done. My arm is is healing from a sports injury but it's getting a bit better so I could complete some really fun guitar lines, but I had to do them in spurts with breaks in between to keep the inflammation down. Description : A recording I did a few years ago. I guess I don't pull out my old Strat enough, so this was fun to experience the twangy tone that I loved so much that came with it. I wanted to capture and go back to some of the spiritual influenced playing I used to do, wind things down but in a emotional way. Ambient Blues with a latin twist. Instrumental ballad designed to pull at the heart in solitude. I love to play my guitar like a voice, and try to capture a mood . Selection of clean and overdriven electric guitars. Description : This was a wonderful collab which I had originally posted a few months ago as an instrumental with the need of of vocal and lyrics. The talented Mack Sanders came through with a pure emotional raw blues tune written from the heart called "Woman's Touch". As the sweet icing on the top of this cake I invited the great Slap Johnson do some superb sax solo work and call and answer sax with the vocals to polish the song to a shine.
