Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...

Description : Here is an edit of a track I've been inspired by. Composed by renowned composer A. R. Rahman ft.Solange Merdinian, and a little of EazyBeatz flavor. A highly emotional product emerges! Enjoy everyone!! -EazyBeatz :)

Description : This track name is only in honor to one of my friend who is nickname is KingManiac. He wanted me to make a track like my Ginette because he love that one.So this track have few instrument who is the same than Ginette (Violin,Piano,E-piano...)but have some new instrument like gate synth. Also the BPM is the same has Ginette.I putted this has Cinematic because the drum is a orchestral one and there are choirs. I don't know if its the right genre so please tell me if this is wrong :). Like usual any comment are welcome.

Description : Vocals by Farisha and if you haven't heard her work you should. It's amazing!

https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/394401

The track is a bit minimal and I've tried to allow the multi layered vocals shine and not be over cluttered with much else. Percussion is Superior Drummer (using brushes instead of sticks), bass is a Sterling Sub 4 (a recent acquisition) played in live with an attempt at some funky slap stuff in the last chorus (tricky!) Guitar solo is my trusty Godin XTSA on the acoustic setting. Keyboard is a patch from Logic X.

So good to be working with this quality of vocal. Thanks Farisha.

Comments always welcome.

Description : I used a few loops from a loopmasters pack called "back to the old school" and built some sounds around them to create 3 little tracks. Then i smoked a fat one! (which was nice)

Description : When I visited Manhattan earlier this year, I found a very nice coffee shop called Cafe Angelique, just across the street (Grove and Bleecker). Every day I started with two large cappucinos, outside on a little bench, at sub zero temperatures (it was a very cold winter :-)). This daily rythm inspired me to make this track.

Thanks for listening.

Description : This track is the first two sections of what will (hopefully) be a three-part piece essentially a suite. I am posting parts 1 and 2 because I think they are ready for feedback from Looperman members. Part 3 isnt done yet because it requires Human League style vocals from a singer with a distinct British accent. I have the melody and lyrics worked out. I sent a private message a while ago to a Looperman member who I think has the right voice for the job. But, havent had a response. Until I find a vocalist for it, I cant finish the piece. In any case, the total file size of the complete piece would be greater than the Looperman limit, so it will have to be split into parts anyway.

Parts 1 and 2, in fact the whole thing, were inspired by acapellas posted here on Looperman by Jacques Demers:

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6105/love-love-love-ououou-by-jacquesdemers-130bpm-dance-acapella

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6093/dont-keep-back-2-by-jacquesdemers-107bpm-hip-hop-acapella

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6091/dont-keep-your-love-away-from-me-by-jacquesdemers-107bpm-hip-hop-acapella

If you havent checked out Jacques tracks yet, you really should. He doesnt set them up as featured so it might be easy to miss them.

The harmony in Jacques acapellas sounded very Beatle-ish to me, and that made me want to try my hand at doing a George Martin style treatment. I remembered that ScottsCovers here on Looperman had mentioned an instrument called a Mellotron, which was used by the Beatles, the Moody Blues, Genesis, along with other groups of that era, so I decided to use a VST mellotron as the primary instrument for Parts 1 and 2.

The acapella in Part 2 was in a different key than the one used for Part 1, so I needed to find a chord progression in Part 1 that would modulate the key. Jacques gave me some advice on that, which you can see in the comments on his first acapella.

Part 1 has harp, mellotron flutes, clarinet, french horns, and my attempt at a Penny Lane type trumpet solo (but much simpler). Part 2 has a string ensemble, solo oboe and trumpet in unison, and some Daniel Langois type processed guitars. Both parts were recorded at 60 bpm, largely because thats where the acapellas seemed to sync best. However, I played the instrument tracks freestyle (rubato), so the tempo actually varies somewhat. Definitely not quantized!

There is a storyline behind this track. Part 1 is the blooming stage of a relationship. Part 2 is about the relationship in decline. Part 3, with vocals, will be about ending it.

Ive included the transition to Part 3 (which will be a more traditional synth pop section) and just a bit of the first verse backing instrumental so you can get an idea of how things are headed in the final part.

Description : DRAFT 3 - and still not there. But maybe some improvements? The first part after the short intro really doesn't work - but I'm not sure why...you tell me! ****Just a very rough start of a song with Tha Suspect1 on vocals and two drum loops from here by Dusthill and Dj4real. The rest is mine created in FL 10. Very unfinished, I just wanted to upload and listen how awful it sounds at the moment...fixing things later on. The vox is not just an Acapella, it also has a annoying beat in it: https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/5888 But other than that it's of course an amazing vox.

Description : HEY, hey guys...IM BACK! and it feels amazing. I took a month or so off to work thru some shit, and in that time i bring you this. Personally my best work so far imo. I may add lyrics to it eventually, but not sure yet. The original has a longer beginning for that reason. Thanks to chanho17 for uploading great piano loops for use. let me know what you think!

Description : A cover of the Judy Tzuke song (1979) and an amazing vocal performance by the very talented Pauline Wright. It's a real bass guitar and the acoustic solo towards the end is my trusty Ovation Celebrity. I have also doubled some lines with an electric where it gets a bit "celestial" and all the sting patches are from Logic X. Hope you like it and as always your comments much appreciated.

Description : The basic idea of this concept has been to use two very melodic Loops of piano and synthe of our friend Danke (https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/671112) .... that I have adapted in the beginning and the end of my project planned for voice and text Emily Richards (Snowflake on ccMixter) .... I could also say they have been somehow the trigger this musical ensemble ....

Danke, thanks for your virtual assistance .... You have good ideas.

Thank you for listening ....

Description : Edit: I've changed the drum and pads a bit and added some panning.

An orchestral/electronic/ambient track with vocals. I tried to create a strong sense of a dreamscape. The speech in the track was done by Alan Watts.

I cant really decide what genre this track belongs to, since the track isn't exactly Trance or Dubstep. Perhaps Chillstep/Melodic-Dubstep more accurately describes it.

Please give feedback!

Description : I think this may well be the best thing I've done so far. Both sound technically and musically.

The song's title describes some of what I really wanted to achieve. A simple sound of a sawtooth as the main instrument in front of the piano, but another part of me wanted something completely different. In the latter part of the song I play the drums along with Kong Drum Machine, he is much tighter than I am, but I have more feeling for the fill-ins, I think we complement each other.
