Description : recorded a while ago with lots of exotic samples, and various programs, there is no relationship to the stupid german carnival but more to the brazilian or african events,so the track appears in the ethnic genre as it is a more syncopated sophisticated tune Co Psychotropic Circle 2003

Description : A long evolving track that incorporates African vocals with pitchwheel colorations and beat curves ..it took about 85 hours (CRAZY Huh?) to get the mixdown where I wanted it. All vocals are slices triggered in Reason's NNXT that were played live ..the stuttering effect was triggered by the Matrix sequencer . The guitar like solo was a tweaked patch in the the Malstrom synth..

Description : Project Jump4Joy2010 Summary. By E-mail me your Cv and explain how you can and want to contribute to this project. This is a Global Project for a collaborative effort to put together a theme song for the 2010 world cup soccer in South Africa. The basic idea is to take the song and translate it to the official languages for every country who has ever played a final in the WC series. These include English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, German, Swedish, Hungarian, Czech. These songs will then be made available for free to South African Media during the 2010 world cup. Other distribution rights will remain in the group of artists.
The current status is: lyrics(English) and chords/melody fixed (could be changed if really needed), but for the rest everything needs to be added. We have access to studio facilities, but have not yet allocated this to a specific person. We prefer not to have a studio involved until the project has a bit of momentum, but are open to change this if required. Current status of music: a very simple basic demo (Nothing final) of the song to get some input from contributors on the web need drums, keyboard/synth, guitar and vocals song should start out small but intense, one voice or children s choir (will be decided in final mix) and grow in second part, and must create a crowd/stadium sound such as fans singing in the final chorus part, i.e. build up to a mass choir in the last repeated stanza. Maybe have a woman s voice to start off, but the final chorus will be male dominated, vibrant and powerful. Instrumentalists, feel free to be creative with the instrumentals, but keep the previous in mind please. This is a great opportunity for the instrumentalists in the song, since the project vision is that there will be only one official backtrack to the 10 different language versions. The project requires Songwriter and Vocal talent Managers for each of the 10 languages . (if your official language is not on the list, and you are willing to manage that part, please contact us as well.) The musical team will comprise of maximum 8 contributors who will contribute their time free ( if profits are generated, a percentage is paid per contributor). Possible instruments to be included: guitar, keyboard/synth, drums/percussion and vocals/lead/supporting. This is the only project as far as we know, and the only song that the media will have available in virtually every official language of top participating countries.

4/4 time 120bpm
Rei4real -guitar
ngSSB - drums
Spacebric -melody/synth and vocals

Description : Ladies and gentlemen. I'd like to introduce to you South African House also known as SA House. I like to fancy my country as the mother of House music since 1000's of years ago music emerged from Africa. Our people are dependent of House. House makes the World go round. I've got all the reference I need by just walking down the street. I was inspired by our local Sunday Night events. People from all over our provence gather with BMW's and burnout. And has the largest collection of underground House Music I know. Wether I'm white, black, coloured or indian we don't care, cause it's House that bring us together as 1 nation. Hope you enjoy

Description : This track is Earth, sort of the progression of life. It starts out with some cool cave sounds, a very dark flute pad, some World Music samples that I got from FreeLoops--a Japanese woman singing, some Egyptian strings, some Moroccan singers. The tracks builds, so be patient. It has a long intro, but it's worth the wait. It comes in with some African chants, claps, sipsis, some Nigerian stringed instrument that I don't know what it's called, lots of big tribal drums. Then it evolves into a modern day Turkish market scene. It's quite epic, really.

Description : In this Zulu piece I tried to bring back the old traditional Mbhaqanga sound (a genre within the Zulu traditional music. It's a very "busy" type of music, high tempto with hectic drums & percussions and repetitive rhythm guitars. some people ad keyboards, bass and just about any instrument they like. there are no limits or limitations). Vocals and guitar is all me.

Description : For the Caveman 4-track thread. This was recorded in 2001 by my band the Babylon Crackers in Bellingham, WA. We spent a week using a Tascam 4-track tape deck recording a demo for the first Western Washington University International Music Festival, and burned a CD to submit as our audition.

"Roll and Tumble (pour la reunion de Abdou et Ayshatu)"

Sean Kilpatrick (n0mad23) - Balalaika **
Blake Hausman - Guitar and vocals **
Andy Buckman - Drums (ad hoc traps made from African drums) **
Andy Hoffman - Keyboard (playing bass line) **

The melody riff is mine, and something I came up with trying to do a W. African sounding piece for a song I wanted to do for my dear friend and his spouse back in Niger. Blake was the one who realized how seamlessly it would work with the traditional blues song "Roll and Tumble."

Recorded in Andy Buckman's living and dining rooms. Live recording, with no overdubs or post-recording revisions. Four mics used for 4 tracks.

This one probably won't stay up long, but it's one worth sharing.

Description : Here attached is a new country tune I put together using several loops I bought off a disk set. I call it 'Old Tyme Country' as it is close to being Bluegrass as well. (Bluegrass usually has a Mandoline, Fiddle and a 5-string Banjo, and a rhythm guitar at least).

This instrumental features no guitars or regular drums. Rhythm here is provided by a Dulcimer, a Shaker and a drum like instrument called a Djembe. (An instrument from Africa, looking like a tall Bongo drum)

An acoustic stand-up Bass is used along with a 4 string Banjo, and the Fiddle is the main instrument.
Put all these together and this is the sound you can have. Hope you'll like it.
