Description : This is a soundtrack that resembles a deep story.
"As she sat there, no light casting upon the scorched earth, that were overcast by the infected, she sobbed. She could hear the gun shots, and the growls of the hungry infected in the background, but still, what was silencing the world around her, was her thoughts. She glanced down to the 9mm behind her hands. That gun was what she tried to defend her family with. She closed her closed shut. She felt in a trance-like state. Her mother and father appeared before her. But there's something about them. They were all bloody, and had grey-like skin. She open her eyes. She felt the tears that was running down her cheeks. `Mother... Father.. I'm so sorry´ she whispered to herself. She raised the gun and... Silence"
Description : This track was solely made for PhatKats' thread about zombies. Essentially this is the "stages" of the infection, from the initial bite to the end--Undeath. Doin' my usual thing with the track, very dark and intense orchestral elements accompanied by electro beats and synths. I think this track came out rather well. :) Leave a comment to get a download!
Description : Continuing saga that is the LZA. In this track we hear a leader emerge amongst a group hiding and taking refuge in an abandoned school. He's had enough of cowering and decides to rally the group to go out and fight. Not sure if that was a good idea... No synth loops used. All programmed VST.
Description : My thoughts for a Halloween track this year was to work up some foreboding Drone music with a little Delta Blues slide guitar mixed in. My inspiration being the classic story of Robert Johnson and his infamous deal with the Devil.
In Clarksdale, Mississippi in 1930, Robert Johnson supposedly made a deal with the devil at the crossroads where US highway 49 crosses US highway 61. Johnson had been playing down in Yazoo City and was on his way back up to Helena. He had hitched a ride that dropped him off next to the levee. It was a cool October night and a full moon glowed in the dark sky. He continued walking up the highway, guitar in his hand. As he approached the crossroads he was thinking about his friend Son House preaching to him about giving up his guitar playing. He really wasn't a good player and most people would joke and mock him when he was on stage. He hated it and was thinking he would give anything to be as good, no, better than his friend Son House. It was at that moment he noticed a figure in black standing there at the crossroads. As he approached him, a deep voice issued "Let me see that guitar boy"! He then took his guitar from him, tuned it and upon returning it asked if he would trade his soul to become a famous Bluesman. He agreed and the rest is history. Johnson's ability was seemingly transformed overnight to the amazement of everyone who knew him and he went on to become a Mississippi Blues legend. However, his fame was short lived. A mere eight years later the Devil returned to make good on the deal.
So this Halloween, be careful what you wish for, especially at the crossroads.
Description : "I remember a time of chaos... ruined dreams... a wasted land. But most of all I remember... The Road Warrior. Time to get back to some high gain, ear piercing, sub thumping, heavy f'n rock n roll. Crank it and enjoy the ride !
Description : A collab with fellow Looperman, "dssdsdsd". He posted a pretty wicked guitar instrumental a while back of this song from KoRns Untouchables LP with a request for someone to mix it. I decided to give it a shot to complete the song. Wanted to stay true to the original as possible but didn't want a carbon copy so I tried a few ideas of my own. Added a bit of my own guitar, drums, keyboards, a lot of effects and even stepped up to the mic for a try at the vocals.
Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Description : Chillout, funky fat 95 BPM organic electro led by some fun, tinkly arps. A bit of an organic, tribal feel, especially when the flutes are playing, and some fat smooth synth basses, plus a big fuzzy one later on as the track gets bigger and heavier. Slide resonator guitar in the second half, including a dual slide resonator solo (2 different resonators playing simultaneously sort of duelling with each other). A few drum loops but mostly 3 programmed acoustic kits. The heavy, double time drumming before the flutes return around 3:53 may be a bit unnecessary (I'm not sure, let me know). Interesting reflections, praise, suggestions and criticisms welcome and appreciated. "Nice track bro"-ers can save that unhelpful type of comment for another track (or 50). I hope listening to this transports you to a magical place, even if it is for only a few minutes...
