I'm messing around with Reason though the learning curve is a little steep, the features aren't easy to use, and the targeted genres feel a somewhat limited.

Completely miscellaneous individual songs more then any, no one band I've listened to has released only stuff I would endlessly loop.
I enjoy electronic though with lots of instruments. I highly prefer live instruments over synthesized instruments but I use what I can. I also am getting in to metal. I hate almost everything I've ever heard on radio.
