My first impression is that this track bridges the gap between dub-step and the more traditional styles of dance style. Some really cool sounds in there, like the scratchy-wobble sound. The beat is cool touching on break-beat rather than the usual garage type step beat. I like that this track is different but the same, if ya catch my drift.
I like the the beat scratch fills, very effective. Big Beat rocks!!! Only criticism I can offer is that some of the leads are a bit simple sounding, can't explain it too well, but plain and repetitive...?
Good work on this track, I like your style and I hope you will post more tracks. There is lots of energy to this track, interesting beat. I'm disappointed I didn't get to hear the original so I could compare, I meant to but my connection was running too slow to listen to anything. Suppose it doesn't matter if this one is better.
Thank you for the listen. As for style, I've been trying to meld different genres into one another to create more unique sounds than what people are used to hearing.
What can I say... Excellent. This is really cool, I really enjoyed listening to this. As far as trip hop goes - probably if it was a touch slower Anyway that's all i can say, _ the dishwasher doesn't tell the chef how to cook!
I like your style, good to see jungle is still alive!! I like the panned effects, a skill i'm yet to master but you have it locked, sounds good adds atmosphere. Like the vocals used as well good choice
I haven't heard the original of this song, but this is really good. I like all the panning in it, creates good atmosphere. Love the driving beat as well. I think I will have to check out the original now
This track thumps!!! Love hardcore, but hard to find stuff i like these days, but this i like. Found my way here via the interesting discussion on the forum
Beautiful track, just what i wanted to hear at this moment. Possibly even bring those vocals forward a little i would have liked to hear them more. Even without that, though, just stunning the way it is
Alright I'm going to review, because I listened and you asked for reviews, hope it doesn't sting too much. When i heard the track starting up with the drums, I thought hey that sounds pretty good. The track is really good, and I'd like to emphasise that, I really like the track itself, you have done really well with that. The vocals, however, do let it down. The vocals could be cleaned up with some clever equing and mastering but still would not give that track justice. I am not a singer myself so i cannot comment too much on the singing, but what i can say is if that is you singing consider some singing lessons (If you have already had them, I am sorry that comment will hurt.) As coney said your lyrics and vocal melody are good but they are not sang right. I also like the screaming, that bit is good, and master your vocals, it will help. Didn't mean to drag on. Definitely, keep it up, you are doing really well!
thanks for the help, i meant to reply a long time ago, but obviously i forgot. well i think part of the problem may be my mic... its terrible lol. but yeah i know my singing isnt the greatest, and i would indeed like some singing lessons. but definately appreciate your help. thanks!
Cool this is definitely punk, punk is not dead it's just lurking in the nooks and crannys. This song does suck and thats what is the best thing about it, if you get what i mean. Love it!!!!
Good work, love f-n with sounds and different sources of sounds, good work for posting it, love that you recorded the sound of blending watermelon and made a track, cool.
their is just something nice about knowing that their are other people as odd as me in the world :) its fund to take pieces of stuff like this and load it into sampler and tweek on it even more
That is a great beat love it. Minimal is cool. love the dark sounds, psy style, love that wobble lead that is cool. Have you heard the new Basement Jaxx? song featuring Yoko Ono, features poems over minimal beats. Anyway cool song I like what i hear
Man tough choice between this and dbz, I like the dark heavy sound of this track, so good, but i also like dbz as a whole track. I do agree with kazm though, your levels are way out and again eqing not right, sounds muddy around the 100Hz. If you sort those things out this track will kick a**!!!! Personally i thought too many samples going on, would be good to hear the beat and bassline by themselves for a bit just to really get into a feel of it, but that's just me, I'd say others would say differently. Good work though, keep the bass heavy sh*t coming.
Yo, good track, i like the dub step sound, only heard it myself for the first time at the end of last year and i'm really starting to dig it. I'm not sure how fruity loops works, I can't quite remember it's been a few years since i have used it myself, but you need to eq the bassline properly, it's clashing with the drums at certain frequencies when they come in thats why the drums sound quiter when it's playing together with the bassline. Check out eq tips on here somewhere or search the web. Hopefully fruities has a fully parametric eq, thats the best way to go. As a start, if you can, drop the bassline down about 3-6 dB at around the 100-250Hz range, that should do it. If that doesn't work try "scanning" the frequencies for best results. Hope that helps and keep at it. Oh and thanks for the review, much respect, thats what lead me to your tracks. Keep reviewing. I'll see what i can do about the bassline you mentioned, might upload it as a loop on here for download. Peace
Thanks man, i really do need help though, i dont not know the technical things, so please help, like i get everything done but i dont really love it, so please help with the eq,i would make a track for you :)
