Great stuff. I couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of this song being that I just got laid off, my girl just dumped me and I got no place to live lol. I feel ya Jack. Keepin' my head on. You trip poets keep the rhymes comin'.
I found my head nodding to this track. Great rhythm, great bass and the two come together flawlessly. The only downside I would say is the length and that's not so much the case if there were a larger variety of samples. I haven't seen the movie in quite some time so honestly had a hard time understanding the main phrase. All I could make of it was "Chinese eyes" I'm definitely not bashing your track because it's got great elements, just needs to be fine tuned a tad and I would use a longer sample for the main phrase if anything for clarity reasons. That aside, well done!
I thought I sent you a message here on looperman but I probably screwed it up. Man I'd be more than honored if you would work with some of my junk. You've got an amazing gift and I'd love to see what you do. Keep me posted.
There was a massive tour bus collision and body parts from Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Aphex Twin and a little old school Ministry were scattered across the freeway. The first to stumble across the horrific scene was a mad scientist who promptly assembled the pieces and Toddj was born. Love your stuff man. Slightly demented, always alluring with a hint of retro that ensnares the listener and siphons their soul... and they couldn't be happier.
Interesting way of looking at it. It's almost like a monster is born with each new song that is produced. I'll take that as a complement. Thank you very much Miasmic.
