Nice to meet you. Thank you so much for your lovely words. You are such a remarkable and respected musician, to have those comments from you means a lot and I am very grateful.

Patricia has such an amazing talent, both singing and writing, and her vocals always touch your heart. I thank her for this vocal because it says how I feel about my son and daughter. My daughter lives and works 300 miles away and my son is at university in the same city as my daughter. It is very special when we get to see them.

I believe Patricia wrote this vocal for her children and I dedicated this track to my wife and our children (although they are not really children anymore). Love is a very special and powerful force and those that experience it are very lucky indeed.

I have just listened to the track without the vocal and I feel it loses something. Because I built the track around the vocal I suppose I am just used to it like that.

But I might put the instrumental up here, perhaps somebody would add something to it.

Old-school will eventually come back in fashion just as we move into dub-step, hip-hop and drum and bass. But we will still be old-school cos that will then be the current old-school,lol

I had a tough time 18 months ago and discovered a way back through positive thinking and a positive mindset. I heard Patricia's vocal and the words just resonated within me and had to do something with them.

'Got a smile on my face', that's a cure for everything. We all got to have a smile on our face.

I read somewhere one of your comments and you mentioned you broke your neck or back some years ago. That's a pretty tough call and I would imagine you could have a lot to moan about.

But you don't, and everyone can tell from the comments you give that you are upbeat, happy and a real good person.

I am actually working on another track with your 'Remember When' pella (although I notice you have taken it off your page).

I think the music I am doing for it sounds better at a slower tempo so I am at the moment trying to chop your vocal about and spread it out a bit without it sounding disjointed.

I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks for stopping by. I agree about the first synth, it needs something extra. It originally had more reverb on it but sounded a bit washy so I pulled it back a bit. Perhaps some fattening or doubling might work.

JJ always writes lyrics with lots of emotion and meaning, and this one is no exception. She takes her lyrics from the uncertainty of what is happening to eventually finding joy in freedom, and I tried to convey that within the music.

I wouldn't want to offend JJ so I checked with her first before posting this.

It actually started off with words but I loaded the wrong setting on a modulator/delay on JJ's vocal and it produced some interesting sounds.

I ended up taking the words out and putting more noises in.

I've got two of them in the garden. My wife wants to move them or chop them down because they hide the sun in the summer. I've always said no but she might now just get her own way!!

Swaying with your yucca plant, now that conjures up chilled soulful and beautiful images in my head.

Haven't got a yucca plant so I tried it with my cordyline palm tree in the garden. Cold hearted b.... wasn't having any of it, so I came back in dejected and frozen!

I do thank you immensely for your lovely comments, and all thanks to janis because without her powerful voice on this track, the music would not have the same impact!

I chopped your vocals up and spread them out to try and create an almost haunted feel. Whether this worked or not I don't know.

All the tracks I have done I have started with the acapellas and then built the music up with them but if I can come up with a piece of music worthy enough for you to sing on I would love to take you up on your offer.

Yeah I suppose it has a bit of a slow paced smokey club feel to it, and Tara's voice has a certain husky grittiness to it.
