I can find little wrong with these lyrics mate.
The little I can find is they are a little muted.
Apart from that this is a great little number.
Leonard Cohen the king og gloom never took anyones advice about his lyrics.
Been a fan of his for getting on fifty years I think.
One of the greatest lyrisists ever in my book and no .... never been depressed in my life.
His pain is wonderous to behold. Magical even.
Keep doing what comes natural to you.

    This is pretty cool stuff.
Where does the vocal come from?
There's a lot to be said for keeping it uncomplicated and getting this slick clean sound.
    Old man music rules!

This is good, but put some more emphasis into the vocals! This would be brilliant if the vocals had more of a catch. I understand that it's supposed to be laid back, but it can still be laid back with some element of emphasis. Either way, I really love the melody of the beat and the overall mood of the song. Good work!

This is very cool and unique, especially for being so heavily influenced by something previously done! You captured the pink fluid vibe in a special way here. I like the vocals a lot! Even the style of mixing and mastering is reminiscent of those old records for my ears. Can't fault this in any way! I hope to hear more of your work, and possibly the album you speak of. Great work!

You`ve got the whole vibe down to a T Lee.....and I know you have been a bit self-critical at times about the vocal...but man...it totally fits the bill....Lee: its about the way the voice & the delivery fits the music (I have always felt that) more so than some perfect operatic abilities.....congrats my friend...this is friggin great in this ol boys opinion...fantastic job on the lyrics...and the accompaniament follows the Floyd concepp with the chord progs.......bravo.....we`ll do another one some time this year if I have anything to do with it....just gotta find some time over here at my place later on.....Ed

Good track: groovy at the right point. Mark's voice is always a big plus in a track: this time it has a "tribal vibe" which works very well.
    Well done!

Hey Lee....just following up on your reply (and big thanks for those track comments by the way...always appreciated)...I cleaned up most of my posts (with the delete button) but if you ever hit one of my tunes that might work for a vocal...or anything else you may want to do....just mail me....I would be more than happy to do a mix without the usual lead guitar stuff for you.....you or I could add some lead bits after if we wanted.....I usually have several music mixes from ones that I didn`t finish or where the lead escaped me if you need any rainy day fun too.......Ed

heartfelt indeed....really like this one Lee....Your vocal is the star here...but must say you put together some thoughtful lyrics and delivered them like a pro.....like the interaction between the vocal and the guitar....really well done and I know its not an easy accomplishment.....nice to see a song delivered with all the dynamics intact too.....just a great job Lee....really did enjoy this one.....Ed

PS: maybe the drums (timpani) should not sit so "in-the-front" in the mix (or maybe my hearphones have too much low end?)
PPS: I know I should avoid giving good comments to tracks where there is no bass guitar at all, but I liked this one :-)

Hi Mrwolf I shall take it as a compliment thank you for your review i completely agree with you about the drum and i think there is too much reverb in the vocal but i no longer have the stems so it is what it is thank you for your time have a great weekend Lee

A very good collaboration by Lee and Mark. I liked the calypso feeling intro and the piano background during the chorus. A great sounding guitar riff also added to the sound of this track.
