Well first off, I know how long it took me to get the breaks to work for me, so I sympathize but I have to be honest and say that there is a lot missing here. One being it is way too short. The Synth is too mixed up, and seems like it's just all over the place at the end. A reverb always softens it up even if it were just a small room or whatever. Maybe even a delay. Another thing I suggest is finding a couple of notes to work with, as a base, then working on that. Too many variations in notes and too many patterns confuse people and make it hard to follow. Another thing is the beat, I don't know what you listen to that makes this a good beat but I don't hear it. Not to sound too harsh, but I just want to point out the eqing is to extreme, the dynamics are way off and the levels of the instruemnts too. I'm my own worst critic when it comes to my breaks - I spend hours on them trying to perfect them. One thing that helps is comparing them to other loops. I KNow they may be a finished version of the loop but getting as close as you can to another beat that sounds the same (or if you re-create it to sound the same) helps a lot. The bass needs a lot of work, I know you were probably trying to get a growl out of that but try adding some resonance to it, it'll give it a bit more fluidity. Eq it a lot and make sure it has a lot of small compressions to give you more control over the dynamics rather than loosing all the peaks and dips of the bass. Hope this helps, I know DNB can be difficult but keep at it, you'll get better! Steve
Its not really a genre i like and its definatly not something im gonna keep at, ive had a wack at it but im not very interested with it, if this review was on one of my dubstep tracks it would of been very appricated, but im just not that into drumandbass, thanks anyway mate
Banging track! Nice atmospheric intro and then the bass kicks in, i love that bass!! I like the way you've weaved all the sounds together so it flows well. Nice production too, the track has good clarity.
sick wobbles of course. that goes without saying. i would suggest more of a gradual building intro and the drop could be better but overall def one of the better dstep tracks on looperman. peace!
Yeah this is dope man.. I like that atari melody sound. It goes good with the bass and backing melody. Nice... Gonna have a go at grime myself man... Your tracks inspire me man... We definitely gotta do a collab one of these day's!!!
thanks man :) i contacted you on the looperman thing but im still new to this stuff and dunno the best way to do it haha ill show you a few good uk grime songs to do get back to me man
Ok. First i wasnt having a dig at you. Second Skream wasnt "commercial" when he first started out that old school the reason i said don't try and be like borgore was aimed at being a compliment because this was better than anything I've heard from borgore.
Boregore and Datsik old school??? what have you been smoking? They are fairly new to the dubstep scene. Go listen to some skream and benga for old school. Anyway a decent tune with a nice mix between the basses and a good complex drum beat. Nice one. PS dont ever try to be boregore otherwise you will have to pretend you have no skill.
i just said im sick of commercial and your telling me to go listen to the biggest commercial sh*t you can think of? dont tell me about borgore and datsik i seen borgore 2 years ago thats not exactly "new". Borgore would sh*t over anyone if he didnt chose to make ball*cks nows.
This is something sonic would skank too. Wobbles are nice they are unique, its not to have a little diffrent sounding wobbles instead of the cut and dry wobbles you hear everyday. Do you use a bitcrusher for them?? Hit me back and let me know what you think bout some my trax. keep the filth up.
