Hi Cam. This sounds really good and builds up very slowly. The way it goes from one ear to the other is also very nicely done. It would be a good movie track.
Cool track Cam! I like interlude type ideas in albums which is a good reason to keep listening to albums rather than just singles. They can introduce or transition between parts of an album.
I loved the Apollo space program and Alan Bean was a funny character and a great painter as it turns out.
Lots of hope in the song, very positive feel to it. It's got a space like feel to it, ethereal, dreamy....
Hello Nocke, so much has been written about this song. In order to do justice to this song in my assessment, I would have to quote all the other posters here. The song is simply beautiful, dreamlike, emotionally arranged and implemented. The song is one of the most perfect I've heard here! Great! Kind regards Rita's LM daughter Manuela *smile
Hey Cam, i love this restaging. Its faithful enough to the original that i sang along without missing a beat, and the krimsonesque instrumentation kept me really engaged with sinuous fuzzy swimmy bliss. This song has powerful connotations for me, it has soothed me in troubled times. And here it does it again, and its delivered by a friend.
Cam, this is first time ive been able to spend some hours catching up, ive been out of touch. anyway, its well past dark now and ive turned on a lamp after sitting in glow of my ipad since dusk, and looking at the animal tracks in the snow. i have a cat gone now 11 days, but its dog and rabbit and deer and shit no cat. the beautiful interplay between interiority and expansion penetrates and pulls my mind outside into the snow and its hot as hell in winter. and now we come to the point; no pussyfooting!! ace
Hey Mike, it's ok, I've been busy and out-of-touch a lot too. And unfortunately that's probably not going to change until April! The Opera world has sucked me back in for a while. That being said, I always appreciate your listen and your second-to-none comments! Take it easy friend.
For Michael im princess. For Maj im madam For Cc im dopeness For Manu im mom So you need to come with something new if you want lol. Ofcourse it grows like that in 2.5 jears but Manu is the newest 1 and im already her LM mom haha. Merry Christmas Cam.
Hey Cam! You say: "I was thinking about what a privilege it is to be a musician" I say: "It is good to have you and the other musicians, especially here. I can listen to special music what I wasnt able before" and you say: "It's really a gift." I say: "For you, to create music and for us to listen to it". Really nice work. I like what you are doing! BTW: I would be lucky/happy if I could here the imperfections (have not the skills for it). Greetings Matthias
Imperfections? Where? You should listen to mine. Tho sometimes I do leave them in to keep things sounding like they weren't posted by a machine. But this just sounds lovely and organic and it ebbs and flows like the sea, or life and stress itself...
Yeah... I DO listen to yours! lol, but if you can't hear them I'm not going to tell you what they were. Anyway thanks for the listen and comment as ever Chris. Much appreciated!
Hey Cam, I leave "imperfections" in my songs all the time so don't worry about that. To me it makes the song more real, more a live performance than some contrived piece in a studio with 40 punch ins to correct all they want perfect. This is real music to me.
With all you seem to be going thru the piece shows an emotional display, maybe a good time to do this piece. A release of emotion, in this form, can be good for the heart, especially now at the holidays. The song builds nicely, it's pretty, the piano is wonderfully played.
Yeah I know you're right imperfections. I could learn from the confidence you have in that regard. Stop stressing and fussing over every detail and let the thing speak for itself. Thanks so much for the listen as always buddy.
lifes stresses, im feeling you Cam. i have the perfect tonic for you and its quite an easy fix. sit yourself down and listen to this beautiful piece you have created. the keys are gorgeous and the guitar intro at 0.51 is stunning they are a match made in heaven. so calming, music from the angels. this is why music has such healing power and its exactly that reason that makes us love it so much, stunning work mate
Thanks so much Paul. I have a tendency of intellectualizing the absolute sh*t out of everything. Sometimes it helps to remind myself what composer John Adams' said one time: "Music is, above all, the art of feeling."
Hey Cam. Thank you for making my breakfast enjoyable with this delightful piece of a gem. it is a superb play, my friend. You've done really well not removing anything from it. That made it so enjoyable. Well done dear Cam. Maj
An amazing track, one of the best I've heard in a while. Fantastic keyboards, I could see this being used on a modern soundtrack for the movie Metropolis.
Thanks so much man, you are FAR too kind. That being said, I've never seen Metropolis so I have no idea what I'd be soundtracking. Still, I'll take it lol!
