it hits Aaron, fire beat, female vox is cool too, nice work as always bro, like that white noise and the synth playing the bell, its got delicate moments mixed well with the hard trap and the gritty rampage outro was good, looking forward to part 2
Thanks Paul, I've been experimenting alot and having a great time doing it. Some of these ideas are things I've had on the back burner in my mind for years in some cases. It's awesome that not only am I finally getting around to it, but it's turning out better than I hoped. Stay tuned bro. -Aaron
Thanks Michael, I appreciate that man. Seems like a lot of us here have been on a tear lately, and it's awesome to see. U keep up the excellent work ur doing as well, my friend. -Aaron
And you really did an excellent job! Aaron, I'm starting to run out of words to describe your songs. They are so perfect throughout that I fear I am repeating myself in my praises. Can't you even release a less good song so that I have something to criticize? *smiles* Manuela wishes you warm greetings and a pleasant week.
Hey Manuela, oh u can use the same words to describe my stuff, it's such great praise as it is lol. I wish I couldve gotten this one to perfection, but the very nature of this kind of work just resists it at every turn. I'm happy with it tho. Thanks for your words Manuela! They always make a difference. A wonderful week to u as well-Aaron
Thanks man. Oh for sure, it's definitely not perfect. But I haven't yet found a way to do work of this kind that is perfect. It's fun as hell trying tho lol. -Aaron
Damn! this is a mood! you are simply AMAZING! at producing. I know the original and man I have to say I'm blown away by your MAGNIFICENT! version here you have done it so much justice. I think Dre would even admire it This is the bomb!...You are another prod here that stands out here. The vocals are sitting pretty, everything is in it's rightful place & only needs the volume raised slightly on the vocals but you should be proud of this one, I love it my little ears are super happy hearing this my super talented friend, you're one to watch & I'm giving my nod of approval with a Heart. Brilliantly! executed. Kudos!
I'm yet to choose one of your tracks to work on but in the mean time keep pumping out these jewels & thanks for your support on my songs also.
Hey my friend, I'm glad u checked this one out, it's pretty unique. I'm going to do another track kind of like this one because of how well this one turned out. I kno it's at a bit of a slower pace than the original, but I wanted it that way, knowing that some wouldn't like that about it. But this one was just for shitz and giggles, as we say around here. I must say, I truly appreciate ur kind words and support. I'll continue to post some of my most interesting work here and there, hope to hear from u again soon!
And u can work with any of my tracks u want, anytime my friend. -Aaron
Thanks bro. I knew that some people would feel it was slow, which of course it was compared to the way it was originally. But I made 2 separate mixes, one at 65/130 bpm and the other at 80/160 bpm, and I just didn't like it as much at the faster speed, which I know sounds crazy. It's just the way my brain is wired, it wants to groove at a slower bpm than a lot of others do. I may add the faster version as well just so they can be compared
SUP homie I admire and respect your attempt to sample that Dre track. Just keep working on it try different ways maybe watch some YouTube videos or chopping and sampling. But nevertheless don't be afraid be confident in your creations. I probably would have chopped up that main Melody up a little bit maybe even backwards reverse. Hell yes homie ur inspiring me now to try it
I've actually made tutorial videos on sample chopping, which I'm pretty good at. In this particular instance, I wanted the sample unaltered except for the BPM not only for the challenge of having to find a way to use it in new ways but also be slightly restricted by it. I do make stuff like this all the time, I just don't post 90% of it.
If I decide to take it in another directio, I'll likely chop the main sample Different than the original.
The first drop in this track does have some examples of the melody in my shopping skills though I don't know if you noticed that part or not. Appreciate the feedback my friend
Aaron you are a fantastic artist with exceptional skill, you can only work with what you got. and you done a great job. i will do one of yours soon bro, and we can work together on the piece and hopefully i can give you a little advice on vocal layout. ive just received some news that has taken me back a little, i wont divulge what just yet until i know for certain but it's scared me and all my focus is elsewhere at the moment hence why i haven't already done the track its wrote laid out and practised but im only commenting and listening for the time being, i will know for certain in 8 days and things will become a little clearer so please bear with me.
yes bro, this as got a good vibe, similar but different i know the Dre original its a great track. i like what you done with the original stems, although i would increase the volume of the vox, the music cuts through but i would like the vocal louder, thats just my personally choice and not criticism the mix is crisp, please feel free to do more like this. i would like to do a couple of covers myself, especially after what happened to me last week. i absolutely love the JCB song because its about a dad, my dad is my only hero, i used to play it my son when he was a youngster and we would sing it together at the top of our voices. i was a passenger in his car last week, my 4 year old grandson Roman was in the back and my son played the record and he and my grandson sang it to me, i couldn't join in though because the tears were rolling down my face, now thats history repeating itself 3 generations all on the same page, im hoping Roman will do the same when he has children, i'll be watching from heaven with tears bro
Hey Paul, I was afraid my vocal mix would be a point of critique lol. I'm not the best with vocals, but this was such poor quality I had no choice really, the artifacts stuck out like a sore thumb. I do possess some much higher quality stuff to work with, hopefully I nail the next mix. Thanks for checking this one out, it's pretty unique.
Hello Aaron, I'm glad you always understand me. You are the first man to achieve this *lol. But seriously now. I'm really looking forward to part 3! Kind regards, Manuela
Lol well, my mom raised me a very specific way, to always "hold back action and/or judgement until the entire case has been presented" as she would put it.... basically it taught me a higher degree of patience and understanding.
ok Aaron like the other comments this is a contrast to the first, which sets the story, this is far more delicate still good work on its own and i can see why you try to make it as a bridge between, the ending was a bit to much just a stop, but dont give up, i notice you said your dropping part three. dont, even if you only bring it for a day, please bring it and finish your initial plan, i understand that as a full piece it would be far to long and it may not have worked as you planned, thats just one of them things we've all experienced, you have nothing to be disappointed by your a top trap artist and i personally think you should finish so we can here the final chapter, the choice is yours though bro, its done and ready, and if it was me, it would niggle me if i didn't bring it, so i suggest you bring it, you dont want incomplete bro.
Hey Paul, no worries man, part 3 is coming, just has one upload ahead of it. And it's a special track, bro. I just finished it, for the most part. It's a complete reimagining of the Classic Dr Dre song "Keep Their Heads Ringin' ft from the Friday soundtrack.
I took some stems from the actual song And built something new from the bones, as an homage to one of my favorite childhood songs. Keep in mind it's not a remix, even though I used alot of the vocals. You'll see what I mean if u check it out. Appreciate u as always bro
Hey Micheal! Thanks man, I'll be posting the 3rd part later in the week, Ill have something different posted this weekend. I'm also "reworking" one of my favorite songs from my youth, that's the best description i can come up with for what I'm doing with it. I'm using some of the original stems and blending them with all new original stuff to create something that has the essence of the song but is also entirely new and different. Stay tuned brother. -Aaron
Well, I wouldn't say it's better or worse, just different. But by no means of lower quality. I can't yet judge whether it serves as a bridge or has an independent character because the third part is missing. CC is right, the first part created more pictures in my head. The story told in the first part was formulated more compactly. I hope I express myself clearly. However, I am convinced that you understand what I mean. We seem to be on the same wavelength *smile*. The only thing I don't like about this episode is the ending. Personally, I think it's a bit rushed. But overall it's another great piece of work from you! Kind regards and have a nice weekend, Manuela
Hi Manuela! I'd like to be able to post the whole thing together as it's intended to be, it's just too long, unfortunately :) I'm hoping all three parts together will make more sense. We don't 100% always succeed in what we're aiming for, but with the reception to part one, I hit most of it lol. And yes, I always understand what it is ur to trying to convey, and I always look forward to it. I think I'm going to bump part 3 and upload something fresh, then I'll wrap this collection up later in the week. I'm already at my desk and it's 8am, I've got some music to make. Regards-Aaron
PARTE DOS! I like it I just think the first one was a little bit better and I think it needs to be my perspective if you're going to run with the mysterious and like suspense feeling maybe up and up a notch but that's just me because I'm crazy I like it a little bit louder or I should say with more of a ruckus. But damn homie I know for sure you ain't no amateur or beginner your quality always come out good great mastering
Thanks man, yeah this one's meant to be kind of the bridge between the first and third parts. I'll be releasing the third part soon so I hope u check that one out as well. I've been producing music since 2014, and I was a performing musician and DJ for years before that. All that experience combined has brought me to where I am now, and it's been quite the journey. Your perceptions are right, I'm not a beginner. I appreciate u checking out my work, I always enjoy yours as well man. I think the third part might hit that spot ur talking about.
Hi Aaron, your arranging and composition skills are second to none! It's impressive how your songs tell stories in their own way that are certainly unique in the listeners' minds. I really appreciate you as a musician and also as an artist. I imagine it could also be inspiring for visual artists who could incorporate this into their visual, sculptural or tangible artwork. Good job, Manuela
Hi Manuela! Your comments are always so uplifting! Sometimes these songs can be an incredible amount of work, when I got up from the desk from creating this "trilogy" something like 13 hours had passed. It makes me happy when my work moves others. I'll be posting the second part soon! -Aaron
great work as always Aaron, you know i wanna get on one of yours, ive got something penned and i was trying it on 'tornado' i'll private you though, keep up the great work fella your lighting your craft up and showing what a great artist you are
