worked hard on this one. Been away for a while due to unfortunate events, but will be more active now that the DeaDResT recording project have taken shape. Our next tracks we are working on are 'Criminal' and 'This One Thing' which will be the same production style as 'Merciless'. We hope it lives up to expectations. \m/
I agree with Perko. The vocals are sitting way to far in the background. They need to be brought up more. Other than that it sounds good. Drums sound a little fake but I am not the one to be talking shit on drums. I suck at it. :)
Great instrumental, only thing i have a complaint about are the vocals, they are overshadowed by guitars too much in my opinion. Other than that it is indeed a promising metal song.
Great take on the vocs though I had to get used to the female vocals...:-) your screaming is outstanding and what I miss a bit after the third listen, is the guitar solo somewhere...but it could be a stereotype of course...you know, metal, solo!!! :-)
I dig it bro, very aggressive and technical playing with both guitar and drums. Got some nice structural elements in there to keep it from getting too repetitive. The sound is good but I still think there's some room for improvement. To really round it out I feel you need to punch up the bass a bit more and I cant really make out any cymbals, which really play an important part of the percussion in terms of dynamics. I had this same issue early on and began focusing on things and areas to really broaden the stage. Clarity is a major problem with Rock and Metal, don't be afraid to lean toward higher eq's in the mix. Then offset them with some punchy bass and even throw in some sub bass if needed to ensure sufficient bottom end. I'm always happy to see new faces here dishing out heavy tunes, especially Metal. So yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing more stuff from you.
Thank you for the comment :) I have posted the full track including vocals. It is supposed to be a bit trippy ...hehehe and hope it lives up to expectations ;)
Hi! i don't have any knownledges in heavy metal so i can't produce any technical advice! just as a common listener, i can say i took pleasure listening to it: it's punchy and energic!
Creepy cinematic feel to the intro till the guitars hit. Guitars are well written and done well. Drums fit very well, and almost seemed to help in the writing.
Guitars are pretty clear throughout. Something I struggle with. Not overdone, not too empty, this track sits nicely in the Goldilocks Zone.
Thank you, yes... the creepy intro is part s nightmares theme of the song. This idea came from a stalker experience my fianc had a few years back. I am almost done editing the vocals and hope it will live up to expectations :) ...p.s She is the vocalist, So expect some nice driving vocs ;)
Dope track DeaDRest. Nice riffage and hard driving chunky rhythms throughout. Drum track was a nice match up indeed. So where and when does the EP debut? Good stuff man, lets hear more.
Thank you, Sampling is not my best forte, but this one seemed to made itself when I heard the drum loops. Although WhenOceansRise lack vocal finesse, his drum loops are really good. The guitars were recorded before I even heard the drum loops.
To answer your question:
We have 6 tracks almost ready for release and will be made available in December 2017. It will be a debut into the Melodic Metal Core Genre and will be the first release we are doing online. I will list and proof most of the tracks here on looperman.com first as a starting point for an induction into the international community. Hope the final tracks live up to expectations ;)
