This is really good bro! One thing I like about your tracks is how you incorporate chord and tempo changes. This is song structuring 101 and how its supposed to be done. I'm assuming you are using the pitch bend to drop the main melody to achieve the chord change? Very solid and polished mix. Interesting and Fun too! I'm digging the Chalupacabra, muy bueno Amigo!
D'oh! I am so sorry about the description for this track. I went back to check my loops and there wasn't any pitch bending at all! Now I have to find which song it was and change the text to this track (so embarrassed). But to answer your question, yes. That's exactly what I do when I need a chord or octave change on a particular loop. Another good loop compilation man. You definitely have a flair for this and I really like the choices of loops used here especially that second bridge there just before the outro with the funky base and metal guitar, very cool!
In regards to what i meant about "cleaning up" the track: I'm not really sure how effective this will even be considering you're using loops (which may have been poorly exported/recorded to begin with) but i'm talking about the use of mixing utilities like filtering, equalization, compression etc. When you put 2 loops/recordings together there will most likely be a point where they share the same frequencies. If you keep letting the same frequencies multiply it starts bogging up the mix and turning into this layer of noise. So if this happens it's best to figure out which instrument sounds best in that frequency, and then cut out (through filtering or EQ'ing) that same frequency from other instruments. Sorry I could go on about it all day so it's probably something to look into when you have the time. It's the reason why sound engineers exist but if you start learning about it as early as possible than you may never need one.
Ah, I'm hip to what you're saying and no, I didn't do any mixing other than adjusting the volume of each channel. Heck, I didn't even use reverb. All of the loops are as they were recorded by the artists who made them. Then again, everything sounded pretty uncluttered and not muddy to me so, perhaps I just don't know what to listen for? Although I do recall running across a fairly involved video on YouTube about it a few weeks ago so, maybe I should go look for it again. Thanks!
Chalupa, hey ese, I like this man. Great job on the production and arrangement. I think you definitely have some real potential as a producer. The main melody is cool and flows well and then the variations and tempo changes work perfectly to break things up and keep it from becoming boring and repetitive which are mistakes that a lot of noobs make. This track really reminds me of some video game soundtracks from my past. Very cool bro, I would love to hear some of those with the sound effects you mentioned. Looperman does have some restrictions regarding licensed material but there are loads of public domain sound effects from movies so as long as your careful and don't push the limits I think you might be ok. I have used some in a few of my tracks. If you get a chance check out my Neo Star Trek or Groove Like A Zombie. I did have to take a few down though so like I said use some discretion. I dig your creativity bro and look forward to hearing more of your stuff, so by all means keep em coming.
Thanks for dropping by Neo, glad you liked my little ditty. I try to approach making music from the listeners standpoint so, rarely will you hear a one bassline song from me. Not to say that repetitive songs are bad (sometimes they work very well) but, it's just not really my thing. You have my upmost gratitude for your encouragement and I'll be sure to check out all of your tracks! P.S. Most of the sound clips I've used are definitely copyright infringement. Sadly, they set the mood for those tunes so, I'm not sure how to get around that. =(

Thanks for listening SS, I threw in that little jazzy riff to make the transition into the slower part less abrupt and I think it keeps the overall piece quirky and unpredictable. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "cleaned up" since I really don't know what I'm doing so, maybe you could enlighten me? I do really appreciate your input because we all have to start somewhere and learn as we go.
