I knew the first time I had heard any of your tracks they were just AWESOME.

Really cool sitar sample and the congos should be louder!!!!
Actually all the ethnic stuff louder..

    The synths are PERFECT!!
but the congos and drums just a SMIDGE??

    Awesome!

    Love it!

Can you find a ethnic vocal line somewhere????
I am sure there is one somewhere?
I know Ishmael in the Desert will sample youtube and radio waves and stuff... And then get really great samples for like vocals or whatever..

    Love it
    MASTERFUL production.
    (just louder heheheh)

Thanks for the great review! I am finding that more and more people are saying turn this up, turn that down when it comes to some of my stuff. My only defense for this is, that when I mix, I am using headphones, I don't have any speakers, which I need to get. I know EVERYTHING would be a lot more leveled out, if I was mixing with speakers. I can only work with what I have for the time being. Thank you for the constructive criticism though, it's much appreciated.

I don't have the original track data anymore. I was surprised enough to find an mp3 copy of it in my stash of crap.

I like it, you took a completely different take on it than I did. Well done. Good flow, very smooth. Dig.

Can I ask what the 1134 in your name mean?...

I wanted it a little louder?

I really like! Great sample use, really like the rhythm @ 2:40.

I could take a look at it, and then send it back to you via e-mail?..

Nothing is wrong with it, just bored lol....

this sounds like the skeleton of a great r&b/janet jackson "you broke my heart!!" type song hahaha. i don't know if thats anywhere at all you were headed but thats just my take. if i sped up the beat and added more instruments i could definately sing over this. VERY ORIGINAL! keep it up.

Thanks for the review. That's not even close to where I was going with this... Now that you mention it though, I can hear it. I see what you're saying. I think it's a little too dark for some Janet though. I was kind of in a dark mood when I wrote this. I'm all good now, but we all have our moments. Thanks for listening.

Weird or not, you've got an identifiable style, so next time i listen to this kind of music i know the style is "slainish". Fine job.

Slain this one jams, lovin the jungle type action, and I'm a sucker for stops and gaps especially with punctuated releases after the break, way cool. I'm diggin your stuff man. Drain pipe is a great title to, I don't know why but I feel like some sounds are kinda emulating sounds in a drain, that one synth fx reminds me of that...but I've never been inside a drain so I can't say that for sure. lol. peace man.

Yes the cherry blossoms, they have inspired me before as well. I like this one and I def can see two warriors circling each other, cherry blossoms slowly snowing down. I like the eerie sounds you have in there. Very cool man. peace.

I like stuff like this, things that are not so easy to classify. You have set up a good foundation here, but one thing that even sparse, weird tracks benefit from is some sort of melody to keep people engaged and to involve them on an emotional level. This emotion can be anything, anger, sadness, joy, regret. Just a little something to consider as you move forward with your music. Another minor thing you might consider is extending the fadeout by about 5 seconds...as the music is fading it just sort of ends. The magic of a fadeout is throwing in a little something that makes people want more of the song, but they can't quite get it. Like in my case, a cool little guitar lick that appears only at the end and during the fade, suggesting that what they didn't hear might have been EVEN COOLER than what they did hear! Just throwing some thoughts at you as you seem to be an intelligent and centered type of dude. The production quality is really good and the mounds of rhythm are exceptionally strong. Peace, Six

I'm picking up what you're putting down...I totally agree with you on the emotionally involving your audience. That's what art is, you're putting your emotions and energy out for the world to see and experience. I also get what you're saying about the fading out with something that wasn't in the song to begin with. Case in point - first thing that comes to mind - At the end of Beck's Loser, that last bar or so, there's a guitar rhythme riff only distorted. I always thought that should have been taken further, with that heavy guitar riff. I appreciate the constructive criticism. That my friend, is always welcome. Thanks again.

That's the thing about style. I consider myself to ecclectic. I have this thought, that we as artsits go above and beyond to try to have our own voice, our own "style". I really truely admire the big names that have their own style and their own signature sound, if you will. People like NIN for instance. I will be the first to admit, I draw inspiration from Trent Reznor. He's a world class musician, with his OWN style. You can almost hear ANY Nine Inch Nail song, and instantly know who it is. He's got a style and brand all his own, and everytime they come out with a new album, the same style is there, but I gurantee, there is something there that HASN'T been heard before. I admire that, and I repsect that. That's hard to achieve these days, when nearly everything has already been done. I really appreciate the review and the fav. I guess you could say that I'm more experimental than anything else. I like to try to infuse sounds, into a style all it's own.

like your mc flow, maybe try add some fx to the vocal, a slight delay here and there or maybe a bit of echo'ing.
just an idea, im still feeling the tune either way!

hey if u can upload an instrumental maybe i can get a couple of my boys to spit a few bars over it so you can here how that sounds..
    keep up the good work!
