Hey there - nice work - builds nicely and does become very trance/ techno - ish. I can never figure out the sidechain stuff in my daw - so despite knowing how it works - I havent managed to get it happening so Im unsure if that might give more bounce and rhythm - but I do like beats and cross beats and the mix of synths and cross melodies. Well done : )
Getting trance/techno vibes from this. Very nice mix of synths, good blend, the drums could be a little more punchy and present, synth kinda overpowers them. Honestly a simple sidechain would give the track more of bounce and rhythm. Good structure, just need some fine tuning.
I like this. Good job on melodies and overall composition. Nice selection of instruments. I think the overall EQ is just a bit off, boosting the highs above 10-15k would probably make it more crisp and shiny. Keep it up!
Very artistic. Love the open feel it gives! Drums good use some mixing like frequency side chain on the kick and bass but very progressive. I would however mono the bass or sub bass part of the synth. Kinda interfering with some elements but overall good!
I just noticed this song purely from the description that has been given to it. That was something that made me curious indeed. And did catch my attention as well. So about the song itself. It was prety well executed. Most of the elements you used are very well balanced. The mixing of the project could be done a lil bit better. But still yeah all in all a very pleasant song to listen to really. I sensed indeed the chillout elements in it but also a lil bit of ambient ambiance. But more chillout than the ambient part that is. Also i must say what cruce said in his comment that he has a good point there as well. I do know what he means with that and i agreed as well. So anyway a job well done indeed. Keep on creating & listening. And have a good one, Verdi P.S. After listening closely to this track you seem to have earned yourself still a spot on my favs list. Cause this song has something special about it in a interesting way. Which is good of course.
This is a very nice journey you take the listener on, very well made indeed. Always changing and keeping you engaged. My only critique (and a truly minor one) is that you may need more subtle underlying percussion effects. Thats my Arranger ears doing the talking. I love how you bring the tune-up and down from the percussion, and your ambient Pad instincts are awesome. Maybe a tinge of sub-bass might make sense as well. Please dont take any critique from myself negatively. If I take the time to point out specifics like this, that means I really really like what you have done and can see the great potential of the tune. Thank you for sharing your art. Cru
Yo i saw Mixcraft and had to comment. Mixcraft is how i started, and i gotta give kudos, this is better then anything i made on there. Do you use any other DAW's?
I've been using Mixcraft for about 10 years now, it's actually a really good DAW for composing samples and effects. However I find it really lacking in virtual instruments and track automation compared to a program like FL studio. Nonetheless it is possible to make good quality music using Mixcraft.
I've been trying to get into FL studio for some time now, however the trial is really limiting as I need to learn the program a step at a time without being able to save compositions which is really disorienting. Unfortunately I just can't afford the full version at the moment.
I was so caught off guard by the caption I forgot to mention anything about your track. It sounds good, kind of retro but not really, lo-fi vibes it's a yes from me very nice to smoke a joint along with
very creative, progressive stuff...the song tells a lot about everything ... you can hear your own stories in it and that is the point ... I don't really care about technical issues in such a case ...
I like this a lot, super creative stuff. The change in tempo is dope. Also, the description is on point
One suggestion: the pad you use during the verses needs the low end eq'ed out for sure. You already have the sub bass going so you don't want any more of those frequencies adding to it. I think if you do this then it should sit better in the mix and it will cause the wave form to be more even
I agree that the conflicting sub frequencies make the waveform rather chaotic, however I quite enjoy the pattern that emerges especially when I play it over the 18" sub in my car.
I ran a risk incorporating such a complex pattern as I realise most music these days stick to simple patterns that appeal to the majority of listeners. But I felt a more complex waveform expressed the concept better and I simply like it that way.
Nevertheless I appreciate the comment as criticisms like these allowed me to better remaster many of my older tracks.
Oh my god, I was under the impression that I was the only person in the universe who used the Mixcraft platform. I was quite impressed with your rap composition using the program.
Atm I'm rather stuck between study and transitioning to more sophisticated techniques for writing music, but feel free to use any of my sounds for inspiration.

Really good Composition, but it lacks the kind of punshiness. Cool Synths tho

I like the piano, what sounded like some strings, it was big like orchestra big yet minimalist at the same time.
It's a pretty good tune man, you did scare me at 1:37 tho.
