Hey Renz..always have been a big Tron fan, I like this a lot...not too busy, I always like some space around a groove so you can get back a bit and fully see what's going on, or should I say hear what's going on, verging on a minimalist motif but I think this is the inherent beauty of the piece, which turns into a very relaxing ride gazing out over the peaceful circuitry....cool! cheers Dave :)
Hey dude, sorry about my comment. I think you caught me on a bad (good) day when I heard this. My track comments were colored by other writing I was doing, and my thoughts about the difference between "acceptance" and "approval." Taking things to heart and memory and moving on now. As such, I can appreciate the song for what it is more today. I'm happy that you are still making music and noticing a good amount of success and respect out of it! Oh yeah, just remembered... Visited a thrift shop last week, and I always look through the cassette tapes there. Discovered the Miami Vice soundtrack tape, and bought if for 25 cents. Listening to it made me think of you. Some really out there tracks on that tape which I didn't expect! Hoping all is well for you!
Never been a big fan of the original Tron films, and I felt that the recent rehashes were a big sick joke. because of this I have little frame of reference for this work. It is not something I would listen to unless it were in the background of a film with respectable plot. Time passes, we all move on... we're not gonna take it... any more. It reminds me of all the film makers trying to make fortunes from things they've done before. I like it when people do something completely new, something that isn't repetition. I apologize if this is offensive. I accept the song for what it is, but do not entirely approve.
LOl, Why would i take offense? Cause you said your opinion? Thats what we're suppose to do, isnt it? But i will say that you seem to take things much more serious than i do. I've seen bits and pieces of the first Tron and havent seen a minute of the newer one, lmao! I was asked to contribute a track for a Tron inspired comp, so i did. Hhaha.
We've talked back and forth for almost a couple yrs now Pat. You know i like what you do. But i have to admit, your last comment "I accept the song for what it is, but do not entirely approve." mad me laugh, lol. I accept you do not approve, but i assure you, no women, children or animals were harmed during the making of this track, lmao!!
Do me a favor, if you like my next track, can you say "I'm Spivkurl, and I approve this track" :)
Hello Renz First i have to say that i am a real big fan of the original Tron movie and maybe a bigger one of the free game - amagetron advanced - i didn't see the compleete legacy movie but what i saw wasn't what i hoped to see ...... To your track i can say that it has something that fits with the original movie. I think it comes from your "easy" synth sounds you used that realy works good with this "wide and softer" synths. Very cinematic for sure. So it is a good one for this cinematic genre. The mix sounds great. So wide and clean and relaxing. I realy enjoyed the list my friend. BTW nice to see something new from you
But it would not fit with the game for me, cause there i need much more power and a more driving beat :) But for sure that dosen't matter at all, cause i believe you don't know any about this little game ..... if you like easy and quick action and can handle your keyboard well this game is realy something great ... i love it cause it is fast and everybody can win sometimes and you never have to wait to long for the next round ..... if you ever try it, tell me cause i would love to have a ride on my lightbike against you :)
Totally soundtrack music...donno anything about that Tron stg :-) (my fault, I know) but the whole song is too good and second part from 2.45 is outstanding...love that chill and chiptune mix...
Im very pleased on how this came out. I took a different approach production wise with this one. Three distinct sections including a short interlude/intro. I also experimented with MIDI and individual tracks differently.
Very nice track, the opening strings are great with lots of space. When the beat kicks in its a suprise which drawed me in further with more ambient space and a real wide mix.Great job.
There's no auto-tune vocals here at all. This person has a very good singing voice, no need for auto. I think maybe you got confused with the "telephone" FX I used in a couple of spots, maybe? Not sure but I wanna make clear that this vocal track has no atuo-tune. Just a really good singer.
Extremely fabulous remixing on this one! You must have had some quality stems to push it to this fine of a finished product! Maybe I should start listening to the radio, just in case this shows up on there?! Definitely has you retro signature, as well as some very modern aesthetics. Interesting stereo effects, and the field in the "bulk" of the song is really nicely shaped! Definitely something I would like to have on a cassette for my walking man's walkman. Sweet as hell! Fave!
Donno the origin version but this is fantastic piece of music... Why do I feel that in that era, pop music (too) produced better tracks with real musicians?! Or it's not the truth?
Hey Renz. This is a nice one and i wonder why i didnt hear it earlyer ....... Nice over all mix and cool clear sounds. Sounds like it came straight from the past, like something you know but just forgot the name of the artist .....

Not my genre, but I like this quite a bit. Some interesting sounds I'm not sure I've heard before.
That snare sounds pretty violent! Almost gets old, but not really.
Not a fan of auto-tune vocals, but they're alright.
The pauses are pretty effective.
I like it. No issues to gripe about!
