Hallo Manuela. Ist ja nett, dass du mich hier nochmal besuchen kommst. Ja, es war Zivon, der mich darauf hingewisen hat, dass dieser Frequenzbalken zu dem Track staerker ausgefuellt war. Ich habe mich daraufhin entschieden, den Track einfach nochmal etwas softer zu mischen, etwas weniger Kompression und etwas weniger Limiter, und das ergibt dann tatsaechlich etwas mehr Transparenz. Ich habe ja immer jede Menge Schamott in meinen Tracks, wie Arpeggios und alle moeglichen Percussions. Auerdem stelle ich viele der Spuren in unterschiedliche Raeume, sodass ich mehr Tiefe bekomme, und das geht dann in einem Track, dem man zuviel "Brickwalling" verpasst hat eher unter. Es gibt allerdings auch einige Leute, die ganz stolz sind, wenn sie den blockhaften Frequenzbalken sehen und dich darauf hinweisen koennen. Ich bezweifle, dass die alle den Unterschied hoeren wuerden, denn das ist nur etwas fuer ganz geschulte Ohren. In diesem Fall aber, weil ich da so lange dran gearbeitet habe, hab ich es halt mal gemacht und bin darauf eingegangen. Was die Nebengeraeusche betrifft, da habe ich mit mehreren Methoden gearbeitet, so z.B mit einem Transient Shaper (damit kann man auch sehr gut ungewollten Hall aus bestehenden Aufnahmen reduzieren). Dann auch mit ganz schmalbandiger Heraussortierung einzelner Frequenzen, wo es besonders zu hoeren war, sowie spezieller Kompression. Und zuguterletzt habe ich auch laengere Abschnitte einfach mit der Schere rausgeschnitten ... Schnipp schnipp ... Wenn dir der Song auch nach 4 Wochen noch gefaellt, habe ich wohl etwas richtig gemacht :o) Juchuuu Schoene Gruesse aus Duesseldorf

Such thoughtful placement of arps and rhythmic synths and guitar-like sounds. That slide guitar reminds me of some Chris Rea remixes I have heard. This song gets a Fav. This is just a really Tasteful song, excellent job at the end I almost had some Bryan Ferry "Is your love strong enough " vibes with a David Gilmour guitar-like twist. Cheers

Hey Thomas, vielen Dank fuer's anhoeren und das Kompliment. Allerdings ist dieser Track vergleichsweise sparsam mit seinen 27 Spuren. Ich hatte auch schonmal Tracks mit wesentlich mehr Spuren, aber auf 64 bin ich bisher noch nicht gekommen. Waere ja mal eine Herausforderung ... Gruss nach Berlin Micky

I always listen to your music when I'm around Micky, it's always interesting, always top notch production. This is really nice funky rnb. Typically dense to my ears. Actually, the timbre of her voice isn't dissimilar to yours (though maybe I'm imagining that or you did some backing vox too?!). And man, that guitar break at the 3 min mark is so sweet. By the way, I still have the track you sent me sitting in my DAW but haven't got to it yet I'm afraid.

Hallo 1Sister, boah, das war vielleicht ne Arbeit. Die gute Twanna hatte alle Vocalspuren quasi unabgeschirmt aufgenommen ... auf jeder war jede menge anderer Krach zu hoeren und es war unglaublich schwierig, das wieder halbwegs zu eliminieren ... Von daher bin ich auch sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. Leztendlich war das Stueck zwei Jahre in Arbeit und ist immer wieder umgebaut worden. Freut mich sehr, dass es gefaellt.
