I always enjoy the simplicity of just a guitar and a voice, not always easy to do and I reckon you pulled this off just fine. Like the extra backing vocal parts on this. And a good song too.

Simple always works for me, an acoustic guitar and some singing is real, honest music. Good lyrics, cool track!

I don't mind the guitars. I think they sound pretty good, but could be panned.

The vocals on your chorus are too loud, though I like the layering. Well written.

I like everything I've heard from you. Always sentimental and heartfelt. Lower vocal volume in the chorus and spread guitars would help. There are a few shaky notes in the vocals, but I REALLY like your singing. So much character.

Thank you for sharing, and getting back to making music.

Kind of reminds me of Ween. I agree with ER, you could get some depth going if you double your guitar. I also think a more prominent Bass Line would add some depth.
    Cool track regardless.

I just read your profile and you say you don't play any instruments. So this must be a sample. Double-panning your track can still be done by a very simple method: duplicate the guitar track and simply shift the copied track forward or back (you choose) EVER so slightly. It'll create a stereo space and really widen the mix.

I think it's an electric guitar being played in clear haha. Hey, I think you should try double-tracking your guitar :)

If you don't know what I mean, it's basically the same thing as vocal double-tracking, which you've got down it appears :P

If you double-pan your guitar you'll see how wide and airy your mix will get :)

I like this song. Theres a lot of personality in your words and chord choice - very tasteful and catchy imo.

Good work on this one. Try double-tracking your guitar :)

I promise you won't regret it.

    Very interesting sound here.
    Magical and original.
I can't understand the words but how many times have you heard that since rock n roll arrived?
There's something not right though with the mix.
It sounds a little muddy but it could be my at the moment slightly muffled headphones but I haven't noticed that anywhere else this evening.

There is a unique quality to your voice that is very appealing and engaging, sincere and trustworthy. I really like your vocals, and this makes the second song of yours that I've heard, and I like it. 2 for 2. Awesome ratio there.

Bass is muddy and dense in the places mentioned, but I really like what you made here.

Your talent is showing MisterCh....this is a good listening song very nicely delivered...love the acoustic accompaniament and you did a great job on the vocal delivery....I agree there a few little production things that could make this one shine even brighter, but that does not detract from an enjoyable piece of music...its damn good in every way...the technical things will get better with experience so jusy keep doing it...you have much to offer....Hope to check back once in a while and listen to your progress...A big WELL DONE to you...really like this one...fav.....Ed

I would change the bass line for more direct one...

    Technically, well said before...

One of the best alt/rock track here in the past months...

Acoustic guitar is awesome...isn't it a loop???

    Electric guitar is flying high...

I think this song might be helped a little by panning out the electric guitar more to the left or right, give the song some air. The sibilances are really quite strong on the vocals. Might wanna consider putting some de-essers on them to reduce it!

I like song structure though. Beautiful work.

    Hey There!

It's a very good track. Thoroughly enjoyed. Guitar, Drums, Bass, All Good. Better Mix will take this track to another level.

    P.S: Piano is a little loud @ 2:24.

    Cheers!

well...if its one of your first attempts you are off to a good start CH...neat lyrics..I guess I am pretty old school so my ear tends to look for key changes etc...I was thinking you might throw in a key change marker where that chorus/hook parts is (with the harmony bits) and then come back to your starting key...sounds like you are in A minor all the way (A is Acid`s default key setting)...try bumping the music over to D or down to G at the chorus??....anyway....main thing is just have some fun....its a great addiction....Ed

Well, it is a great addiction, indeed, and I'm only posting my older attempts because I haven't got a lot of time to make new songs, unfortunately. You're right, though, this song is pretty basic, since I was learning (and still am, to be honest) how to use Acid and make songs. But I'll most definitely keep that in mind for my next songs!

I would definitely say this is one of the most purely pop songs I have made, but pop really was the rythm that would best fit the lyrics, like you said.
