Great things come from experimentation! :D Yeah probably copyrighted :( I'm wondering how they used that recording of the Iceman on a commercially released album :/ Best to follow the rules here, be a shame lose this awesome resource! I use Audacity for simpler tasks now, no more arranging music in it. Ever try Reaper? http://www.reaper.fm/ technically it's not free but they don't enforce the license. The "demo" is fully functional and never disables, you just get this annoying splash screen for 15 seconds asking you to buy a license, it's cheap if you do. If you try it I can give you some videos on setting it up and using it :D there's also a ton on YT. Was this mixed in audacity? Wow sounds nice and clear :p Think ill add a copy to my music player for work, Thanks :D

Is that recording of guilty plea public domain? I read a book on the Green River Killer, sick F*&$#r! After 20 years I discovered where a recording of Richard Kalinsky, The Iceman, in a Malevolent Creation song had come from :O Sometimes less is more and this flows perfectly as is :D Philemonster said let the music tell you where to go, don't argue, you'll lose!! :D

    Thnx for listening and commenting.

Yesterday I was cutting/pasting etc in audacity and removed the ''housy'' sounds from it. What's left over is a clean hip-hop track. Kinda liked that too. It's fun to play around and one learns from it as well....

The guilty plead comes from a doc about the green river killer. I assume it has copyrights. I don't like following the rules but for looperman I make an exception...hehe

Nice guitar.. Like the whistling lead, has a cool flow when it plays with the guitar.

Nice change up with the piano and that lead. Good use of effects, nothing sounds over pushing. I think the less active sections with more space allows the flow to push in an interesting way. Sounds clear and heavy.

Cool idea with this one, Thanks for sharing. Peace.

Please do try and keep a copy of this version in its current state as I think it's perfect for what it is. The only flaws in my opinion are technical - the minor audio clipping / audio clipping sounds throughout.

    Hi there.
Cant say much more then others already did
A little more present, a little more room/space, some more sounds/synth/stuff/vocals anywhere around to fill the space ....
But without that all - it is a real good one and has a nice beat/groove and fits the genre well.

    stay tuned

    Hello Joe,

Thnx for listening and the feedback. I've already tried out some things to brush the whole thing up. Still working on it. I'll post the end result as soon as I've finished it.
I have a dreamy kinda pad in mind mixed with my own vocals.

Again...thnx for the feedback, it means a lot.

The intro is interesting -- calm but there's a lot of movement in it. I really like it. The sub-bass moves well together with the other sounds, as if playing with each other. Good track. Good Chill Out.

    Kind regards,

I like all the elements a lot. lots of interest and lots of energy! my sense is that you have sacrificed overall presence in the mix for the sake of a strong bass. if you slim down the bass you should end up with a richer mix. nice work!

    Hello,

Thnx for listening and the feedback. You have a good sense sir. I wanted to speak the bass for itself and it does I think. I'm already planning some extra's to it and will post it when I've finished it. It would be great if you then drop by and let me know what you think of it.

Again, thnx for feedback. I like this because I can learn from it.

    Hello,

Thnx for your time and giving your opinion. At first it was meant to be a little minimal so the speak. After listening to it a few times and thinking about it it indeed needs something extra. I'm already trying things out(vocals, piano, fluty kind of thing) but as many others here on looperman...time seems to be my enemy...
I'll post the newer version as soon as I've finished it.
Again, thnx for the feedback it means a lot.

Hey Yappy, Was wondering if I can use this track "somewhere far and deep" royalty free for a BASE jumping video/episode that I produce? I will give you music credit in the end of the video of course. I would really appreciate it and I think this track would fit well in the video.

    Hi,

You got a nice bassline running through and a good meaty beat...its just lacking a synth maybe and a few subtle changes, you could try a bass organ style loop too. Good track though.
    Best wishes,

Definitely not your average EDM track here on Looperman! This has a lot of promise, Yappy! I listened to the whole track and it maintained my interest. I was intrigued by the solo parts which seemed to be in a different key than the backing stuff, but worked really well. I don't know how to do that. It's must my own taste, but I would lose the sound effects at the beginning and middle. I think they actually detract from the musicality of the track. Guitar work is very nice. I am very big on good phrasing, and gaps in lead lines so that the silence functions as part of the composition. I think you did some nice work in that regard, particularly with the lead guitar work at the latter half of the track.

    Hello,

Thnx for the comment and sorry for replying that late. I was already thinking to get rid of those effects but....on the other hand it adds something to it. Without it sounds like your average jazz-dance track in my humble opinion. It's still a demo and needs a lot of work. I already have some ideas but I have to work them out first. By the way...all the loops you hear in this track where from members. Not one of'em is mine. The guitar parts were from ferry if I'm correct.

Glad you liked it so far. I'll post the end result later on.
Thnx again for stopping by. I'm off to check your tracks.

Hey buddy, this is a pretty sweet track! Very hypnotic, dig it! Thanks for using the loops, and giving credit! Might not have found it otherwise, as I decided to do a self indulgent search for my name...heh. Any way, glad I'm hearing it! Lots to enjoy in this blend of sounds and styles! It's not often I hear something that reminds me of something I would do, so thank you for that too. I'm going to fave and DL this one, especially in case I get in the mood to record some vocals.

    Hello Spiv,

Thnx for giving it a listen and happy to hear that you like it. Credit goes where credit due. Without your loops this track would not have that feeling/flow in it as it has now.
I hope you'll find time and the mood to record some vocals. If so then let me know about it (whenever that may be) because I would love to hear it.

I'm off now checking your sound library and see if I can come up with something....

    Thnx again and take care.

    Hi!
Luv this track from the first seconds! Also because it is very similar to my style! :) beats are awesome!!! separate respect!
Intro and outro are the best! I think that the middle of the track contains too much loops and sound pieces.. maybe because i used to make more minimalistic stuff.. anyway this "loop porridge is delicious!" :D

Yeah, this is sweet! Love that plucky bass sound that drives the groove! Awesome percussion elements! Haven't heard clinton brought up in music for a while, so this is cool, I hear he's vegan now... but I digress. Having wonder woman skunk and ethiopian espresso for breakfast, so this song is a great way to get the day movin. My kind of chill out! Keep at it, and thanks for stopping by my loops! Fav'd!

Thnx for listening and the feedback. I'm glad you mentioned the plucky bass because it was the purpose to let it drive the groove in a very simple way. Simple can be very effected at times. This is a groove that can continue for awhile without getting bored because of that bass...well...in my humble opinion that is...

And YOU SIR....keep 'em coming please!

Hey, I like the sounds you got going and the quality seems fine to me. My only criticism is that running bass line doesn't seem like it belongs. It takes over everything. Don't get me wrong, the bass line is catchy but it seems like it deserves it's own song. It seems to clash with the other things you got going on.

But if that's exactly what you were going for, then it's fine. I'm probably missing the whole point. It wouldn't be the first time, haha.

    Hello and thnx for listening!

It was the intention to let the bass take over but not too much. I think it's just fine like this but it's good to hear that you think differently about that. Something I'll keep in mind for sure so, thnx.

btw...I'm also missing the point sometimes like we all do...lol.

Yup is a bassy b! Like your work with those loops, putting some good sounds together with some real imagination. Definitely good job with the mixed sections. To me sounded like some new stuff from the past called "Dustro" I think it's a fusion of industrial and electro. Had a similar type of quality and sound which is cool to hear in a current time. Thanks. Keep going!
